How about a Twilight crossover? 17 year old Meredith Rodney McKay goes to the town of Forks, Washington (for whatever reason the author chooses), and is instantly attracted to the mysterious 17 year old John Sheppard and his family. He doesn't know that they're vampires! John is like Edward: he can read people's minds, all except Rodney's. And Rodney is his Singer: his blood is more tempting to John than any others. You can have any of the other SGA or Sg1 characters in the story as John's family/foes, or you can use the Twilight characters, but replace Edward with John. But Ronan has to take the place of Jacob as a werewolf. The ending HAS to be either John/Rodney, or Rodney/Ronan. If you're up to it, I'm completely fine with John/Rodney/Ronan, but I strongly prefer McShep. :) Any characters from both SGA and SG1 are allowed, but this fic should be McShep centered! (Preferably in Rodney's perspective!)
I'd love to see our Alien friends Teyla and Ronon exploring Earth on a visit. Things like going to Wal-Mart, out to eat, and exploring other earth culture. And even better if they turn to chaos. Definately lighthearted and funny. Bonus for including Cadman or Lorne!

This is an Atlantis-fic set in the world based off of "Final Fantasy; the Spirits Within" movie. It is set in a futuristic Earth, and there are quarantined Colonies instead of countries that are used to protect the remaining humans safe from the spirit-like Phantoms. John Sheppard is a Colonel of the Military, the leader of his band of soldiers Ronon, Teyla, Laura and Lorne. He is sent to another Colony that is filled mainly with scientists, in order to protect their research and them. It is here that he meets Rodney McKay; a scientist who believes he can solve the Earth's problems with the Phantoms, and who holds a secret within himself; he has a mutated strain of a Phantom virus within himself. However,the antagonist, General Koyla will go as far as possible to destroy the Phantoms using the Satelite Cannon; even if it means devastating the Earth in the process. As John and Rodney grow closer, John starts to feel emotions for Rodney that he was trained to ignore. It becomes harder to do so as he spends more time with him, but in the end, will the Phantoms take away Rodney before John has had a chance to really love him?
You can have other relationships in the story, but I would like to see a progression between Rodney and John romantically. Bonus points if the story is really long. (Can be broken down into chapters if you want.) If you have no clue about the Final Fantasy story, you can go to Wikipedia, and look up: Final Fantasy: the Spirits Within. It has a but load of info on the gadgets, Phantoms, and anything else you might need from the movie, if you want to add it to the story!!! ;D

Basically, I would LOVE to read either a Work In Progress or full-length fic featuring an Atlantis AU where Meredith is female. (Preferably the story of events from canon-save Meredith being female. Of course, the author is completely free to change some events, alternate the timeline, etc. Have FUN.)
And while she is still loud, obnoxious and full of herself, underneath it all she has heart of gold and emotional walls that are near impenetrable. Of course, for all her rude and obnoxious fronts (in order to keep people at a distance and not get too close to her because of a difficult past that is up to the author's discretion), one Major Sheppard is determined to get past her defenses.
I would love to see a slow development between Meredith and John, in which they start out as tentative acquaintances, slow friends, and then something more.
I would also love the author forever if s/he also put the entire story in Meredith's perspective, and had McKay be almost completely oblivious to Sheppard's growing attraction to her as they get to know each other better over time...

This challenge is to explain what I am looking for in the stories that I hope will be coming in for my series. Eventually it will hold two different timelines one that is in cannon through the very beginning of 'The Return' and the other will be in cannon up through 'Brain Storm', though I am looking for stories from Atlantis' POV during the episodes for both these timelines. I would also like it if it didn't outright contridict anything that has already been published as part of the series. Thirdly this sereis will end up being McShep though other pairings for both obviously have to be used. Also if you hav an idea for a story but don't want to write it send it along, I'll make sure you get the credit for the idea.

The IOA pushes Atlantis too far and the expedition cuts themselves off from earth. The Daedalus crew follow's Atlantis’s example as have the SGC. Set in seasons 2 or 3. Have everything work better without the IOA or the ties on earth. Asgard must appear.
