John's brother Dave has been brought to Atlantis, because he has the same Ancient gene that John does, and the same control over Ancient technology. John is uncomfortable when it's Dave that starts helping Rodney in the labs with Ancient equipment, essentially replacing him. The truth is that John liked spending time with Rodney in the labs, but becomes even more uncomfortable when Dave starts to replace John in their time spent together, drinking, watching television, and even just bickering. Dave is getting on well with everyone, but it's losing so much time with Rodney that really gets to him.
In this Alternate universe, McKay Acended, and has since learned the wisdom and power of the Ancients. However, he interferes with the events of the Replicator beam in "First Strike", totally destroying the beam and Replicators. As punishment for breaking the Ancient laws, Mckay is condemned to watching over the entire Atlantis population and City. He soon becomes theri Guardian Angel, but misses the normal interactions he once had with them. He also wished he could be closer to John Sheppard, with whom he had an infatuation with. The only way to be with him is for John to become an Ancient. But John wouldn't choose to Ascend...or would he? You may write any outcome, be it angst, rejection, betayal, or even character death. Your choice. Only one rule: Have FUN!!!
hi this has been driving me crazy but i read a fic a while ago about john getting sent to another reality while the other john is sent to his own. in this fic sam is evil and about to marry john when the john we know takes his place anyone read it??
Despite restoring him mentally, Dr. Beckett was not able to restore Sheppard's physical appearance, and he has remained in his Wraith like state. John has had to fight to continue to go offworld, especially given the reaction he receives from the locals, and ever since, people in Atlantis have been extremely uncomfortable around him, especially Ronon. Rodney however hasn't once treated him any differently, and it's such a contrast to John, deprived of even the intimacy of friendship. It's the only thing that he's got, but it's also genuine, and John is falling for Rodney, but Rodney is his friend, pretty much his only friend at the moment, and he doesn't know if he would want to be with another man, let alone a Wraith.
Sheppard is being visited in the night, by an Ancient that stayed watching over Atlantis, and who has taken a shine to John. Appearing to him in his Dreams, the Ancient takes the form of McKay, and Seduces him. John is badly disturbed by these Dreams, not knowing that they're anything more than that, but takes out his frustration on Rodney, like he's somehow to blame. John knows that it's not Rodney's fault, they're his Dreams, and he's enjoying them, but Rodney's also not about to let this drop.
McKay is on the other side of Atlantis conducting repairs, when he's grabbed from behind and blindfolded. Rodney doesn't know who's grabbed him, or what's going up, until whoever it is rapes him. Rodney has never experimented, also never wanted to, and hasn't had to much as a suppository, or a colonic, but this is sawing his virginity out of him, and he never wants to again. When it's over, Rodney is dragged into some nearby quarters, and put into the Ancient shower, he's knows what's happening, that this won't leave any evidence as to who has attacked him. He stays in that shower, until someone comes looking for him, and that's Sheppard, Teyla and Ronon. They find Rodney is a terrible state, and all of them feel so helpless. Only the four of them, Carson and Elizabeth know what's happened, Carson has no physical evidence as to who attacked Rodney, and as ranking military officer, it falls on John to investigate, and he wants to find out who did this. What's worse is that Rodney can't help but suspect everyone around him, including John, something that hurts them both.
For the last couple of weeks, John Sheppard has been sleeping with Rodney McKay, only it hasn't been John, it's been a Goa'uld in control of him, using Rodney to get information to destroy Atlantis. When the Gou'ould is discovered and removed, John and Rodney have to deal with its actions, and what has been changed between them.
John Sheppard is flying high; he's just been made a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force, and is deemed important enough to be given assignments at Area 51. It's there that he meets Rodney McKay, and there that he jeopardises his new Rank.
Atlantis is being prepared to leave Earth, the Pegasus Galaxy has been selected as its destination, and the Ancients that have decided to leave, are saying goodbye to those who have decided to stay. John is one of the Alteran's that has decided to go, excited at the prospect of a New Galaxy. During the journey, he meets another Alteran; Rodney. There's something between them from the beginning, something that develops as they finding a planet, and start colonising Pegasus.
John Sheppard has never been more pissed, six weeks Samantha Carter has been in Atlantis, and in that time, Rodney McKay has been following her around like a Puppy. John never sees him, and when he does, he either talks, or daydreams about her. Now John can appreciate that Carter is hot, and smart, and a good person, but he’s still jealous, and is more than a little disturbed by that.
Jennifer Keller knows exactly how John Sheppard feels about Rodney McKay, even though he's never admitted to it. She and Rodney have started to see each other, and she's actually taking great pleasure in John's discomfort. However she pushes John too far, and he admits his feelings to Rodney.
Write an anthology of 10 individual stories, all centered around the theme that something, or someone is lost.
When the Expedition travels to Atlantis, the Stargate Shield has been set only to allow Ancients to re-enter the City, only those with the Gene. Sumner and Weir never materialise, and the first person to enter the City with the Gene is Sheppard, others around him aren't being materialised, so John Radios for the SGC to stop sending personnel. Unintentionally, John is able to mentally deactivate the Shield, allowing one other member of the Expedition through, Rodney McKay, but no one else, and the Stargate shuts down. They're alone; and Atlantis' remaining ZPM doesn't have the power to Dial Earth.
The Ancients defeated the Replicators, and remained in control of Atlantis. Sheppard is still commanding an SG Team, and with some effort, has managed to get McKay assigned to his Team.
Come on, you know he would make a super awesome mad scientist. I was shocked to see that in the *thousands* of McShep fics out there not one of them had this concept. Mckay = Mad scientist AU & Radek could be his minion or something. You know you want to.
John Sheppard was born into a rich, Texan, Oil Family, he’s the youngest Son, and after a trip to Canada, comes back married to another man, Rodney McKay, who just happens to be the Son of John’s Father’s most bitter enemy. Almost the entire Family is against the Marriage, and despite how much John Loves Rodney, they’re determined to do whatever it takes to break them up. (An Au version of the series "Dallas".)
Basically, I would LOVE to read either a Work In Progress or full-length fic featuring an Atlantis AU where Meredith is female. (Preferably the story of events from canon-save Meredith being female. Of course, the author is completely free to change some events, alternate the timeline, etc. Have FUN.) And while she is still loud, obnoxious and full of herself, underneath it all she has heart of gold and emotional walls that are near impenetrable. Of course, for all her rude and obnoxious fronts (in order to keep people at a distance and not get too close to her because of a difficult past that is up to the author's discretion), one Major Sheppard is determined to get past her defenses. I would love to see a slow development between Meredith and John, in which they start out as tentative acquaintances, slow friends, and then something more. I would also love the author forever if s/he also put the entire story in Meredith's perspective, and had McKay be almost completely oblivious to Sheppard's growing attraction to her as they get to know each other better over time...
McKay Ascended fully, and has now been gone for nearly a month, no one is speculating as to why he hasn't retaken human form, whether or not it's a process that takes time, whether he can even retake Human form, or if he even wants to. Sheppard is miserable, he's not only lost a member of his team, but his best friend, and is only now beginning to realise exactly how much time they spent together. John's in a funk, Teyla and Ronon try to lift his spirits, but he's just not himself, Elizabeth suggests that he take some time for himself, and even offers him some time on Earth. He doesn't accept that, but does take a few days just for himself, and having taken a Jumper out, doesn't quite believe it's real when Rodney appears in the seat next to him.
Rodney McKay's Wife isn't everything that she seems, and is only with him for the money, the notoriety, and the prestige that comes with being Married to him. Her Husband is a Nobel Prize Winner, and with Rodney busy in the Lab, she gets to go to every Social Event by herself, and sleep with whoever she wants, but Rodney doesn't know any of this. John Sheppard is in Love with Rodney, he's his Best Friend, and he's always hated Rodney's Wife, so when he finds out the truth about her, he doesn't hesitate in telling Rodney, and although he does feel guilty for being the one to tell him, has a moment of weakness, and being deeply manipulative, convinces Rodney to move in with him. Rodney's vulnerable, he's falling apart, and John takes advantage of that, admitting his feelings, and making a pass at Rodney, who is no position to rebuff it, but what could have been a natural coming together has been forced, Rodney turns away from him, and John knows what a terrible mistake he's made.
John Sheppard is a rich, old man's, trophy boyfriend, and his Life consists of being paraded around social events, being the only boyfriend, in a room filled with wives and girlfriends, the only people that he has to talk to, but that won't actually talk to him. John can't exactly complain, he has everything that he could want, more planes than he knows what to do with, and the finest clothes to wear, and it's not that he doesn't care about the old man; he does, although he could do without the old man sex, it's just that this Life feels so hollow. What he wasn't expecting was for the old man to die, and even more so, for him to have left all of his money to John; he's now become one of the richest men in the world, but still feels just as hollow. It's now John that attends these social events as a guest, not just the plus one, and is person that everyone wants to talk to, even the wives and girlfriends. It's now the people that don't want to talk to John that interest him, and at one of these social events, there's such a person, Rodney McKay. Not only does Rodney not know who John is, something that is now a rarity, but he's not interested in fawning all over him after he finds out, John likes him, Rodney makes him feel, something that he done in a long time.
