Is there a system in place? Say, a gateway where after a certain number of peer-reviewed stories an author is pronounced "good to go" (for example like the N.E.W.T. system at a particular Harry Potter archive)?

I guess I assumed a year ago that new authors would need to be validated, but you would be constantly moving authors off your queue. That way you wouldn't be validating the stories of all 2,000 authors. You would just validate the new ones, and the some who had consistent problems.

Are you stuck validating the stories of almost every author on the archive, even those who've proven themselves and been a member for a couple of years?

If so, I think I see a light at the end of the tunnel. There may be a way to make validation much less onerous.

We do move authors to automatic validation when we're happy that they understand the rules of the archive, are capable of using the software and consistently meet the minimum quality standards.
