Wow! Impressive. I couldn't put it down. I would never have guessed that you weren't a native English speaker - there were a few (very few) spellinggrammer issues but they could have as easily been simple typos and they didn't interfer in any way with the flow or the meaning of this wonderful piece.

Splendid. I just stole an hour from work to finish it. Your fragments, shifting points of view and perceptions are amazing, heart-breaking and heartwarming. And Elizabeth as a hub, a keeper of the stories works great. I must dig up Marco Polo and Calvino somewhere. Thanks!

it's in the middle of the night over here, well technically just a couple of thousand Km to the north when looked at from italy, but i couldn't go to bed till I had finished the story down to the last line... wonderful, just wonderful, a new world in every paragaph and all so believabl. *applaudes*
wow....not sure what else to say. even the few grammar or spelling mistakes are very forgivable. I loved it
