Very nice Post-Trinity. It was very sad how Rodney felt and how John had treated him. If John *was* hesitating before taking Rodneys advice, then he was a grade A fool who doesn't deserve to be in command. All the things that Rodney got right and the almighty John can only focus on the one thing he got wrong. It makes me sad that Rodney thinks he deserves friends like that - talk about low self-esteem. Also, John claiming to be at the same level of ability as Rodney at math is pure fanon. John has a head for numbers and simple arithmatic, but that in no way gives him Rodney-level skill.

And I forgot to mention the source of your title. Oh, yes, those incredibly expressive eyes. Thanks again.

Ah, Trinity and trust issues. Never really resolved, was it? You so have captured their inability to truly get past it. Love the way you wove it into a Christmas story; "you can always trust Martha...with recipies..." and using trust as a leit motiv throughout. Thanks, excellent job. Oh, and Merry Christmas to you, too.

This was funny and sweet. And, I have to laugh... My workplace had a gingerbread house competition between departments this year, and I came up with a Reindeer Navigation control tower for the scene! ROFL you read my mind!

A Christmas story, a contest, humor and angst. You had it all! Poor John, though it really wasn't wise to leave the non-earthers in charge of the Earth recipe.
