Well, personally I found Gateship better, but again, I'm a serious Shep hater, so I might not be completely objective. Ford was a wasted character, actually - they could have done so much more with him instead of just losing him somewhere in the Pegasus Galaxy (like half a dozen other 1st season characters) and keep bringing in new people.

Author's Response: I actually surprised myself in writing this one, since I tend to be a bit of a Ford hater. I guess it just goes to show that there's something good in every character, if you can just take the time to look.

This was cute! I sided with Ford when it came to "Gateship 1", but I have to admit Sheppard might've had good call to nip the naming thing in the bud early on. Some of Ford's later names for things... not so good. ^_^

Author's Response: Thanks! I was actually on Sheppard's side for the puddlejumper business, but I was glad for Ford that his "Life Signs Detector" seemed to catch on quite well.
