So, Lorne is a geologist? One learns new things every day by reading fanfic, it seems. *g* Personally, I don't care for Lorne (unlike, it seems, the rest of the fandom, I much prefer Bates), but I like what you did with him.
Author's Response: I don't know for sure that he's a geologist, but he was working at a naquadah mine in his first episode on SG-1.
I do miss Bates, but I'm really rather fond of Lorne, myself. I'm glad you liked my version of him at least :).
