I have this story on my favourites list but realise I havent reviewed it. That last line is very beautiful and the whole piece with it's descriptive rhythm and evocative sense of place is just sublime. thank you.

Gotta love Rodney totally freaking out and being soppily romantic while at the same time being totally backasswards about it. :) Nice, made me laugh.

Author's Response: Thank you! :D Trust Rodney to get everything backasswards, genius that he is--but for John to get it, all the same :)

You do a really great job with these domestic vignettes (several of your other pieces are among my favorites)as well as really exploring what does one *do* after a mission like Atlantis? Thoughtful and really well done--we want more!

Author's Response: Thank you! It's weird, until SGA I never really wrote domestic stuff--and John and Rodney are among the most undomesticated people ever :)

Awww, that is sweet and I can just see Rodney freakin' out because he can't hear John anymore. :)

Author's Response: Whenever Rodney is freaking out and shouting "Sheppard? SHEPPARD?!" over the radio, I have to grin a little bit. Poor neurotic Rodney, worrying for his John *g*

Wonderful atmosphere piece - beautiful characterization! Makes me wish I was there

Author's Response: Thank you! I always wish I was in Maine (or, at least, a nicer place than where I live), but having Rodney and John there would make it even cooler :)
