It's a good job John's so laid back or he'd get whiplash with Rodney's lightning mood changes! Still, Rodney wouldn't be Rodney without a good rant ;).

This made me smile. I just kept alternating between "Oh, John" and "Oh, Rodney," which is a sign of good characterization on your part. Because of course Rodney would jump to all the wrong conclusions about who John's been sleeping with.

This was great.

Author's Response: Thank you. It's always great when people comment that something I write is in character.

:D Sweet!!! Oh, I can so see Rodney playing the 'he loves me - wait, if he says he loves me and has love that one too, what am I to him?' game in his head over and over ... ah, what a lovely, paranoid, hard to convince lover he must be :) Just perfect for John! Nice!
Yours GB

Author's Response: Thanks. They are perfect for each other.

And neither one of them being easy is why they are so good together. :)

Author's Response: I absolutely agree; trial over adversity (or awkwardness and paranoia). Thanks for the review.

I'm not sure Rodney would get over this as easily as taking candy from a baby, but I can readily see John creating this situation by his careless phrasing. Nicely done!

Author's Response: Thanks. JOhn really did just want to go to sleep, maybe with a little bit of cuddling, a few kisses... rnrnI actually wrote on my LJ that I doubted the title would make sense to anyone but me; it's from a quote I stumbled across that went something like "Anyone who uses the phrase `like candy from a baby` has never tried to taking candy from a baby".
