This was really good, and had me wanting more, but then it came to the end... :(... You killed joe felannigan. At least there's a clone, but still two sheppards, one getting forced by the other, was strangely erotic. 4.5 out of 5, only downside being that you killed off the real John.

This was very harrowing. I've not seen the episode yet, but I know enough to get the gist of what's going on and to appreciate how you've taken it beyond canon. You really drew out the angst, emotionally breaking our-John a little bit at a time, before the final physical breaking that was the last straw. Well done on the evil creepiness, though I'm sad that it ended that way :(.

Okay, I didn't get the singing part the first time I read it. I hardly read any story fully, and for me to read it twice is quite the honor. Are you up for critical, harsh reviews? One: I suggest that you italicize the lines of the song, so that the audience KNOWS that Shep is singing. I skim stories, and if it had been italicized, I might have understood it a bit better the first time. Kisses.

Author's Response: It is indicated that he is singing, a fact which can be seen by the use of the verb "sang" not once, but twice. Italics in this case would be extremely distracting and would be rather redundant. Thanks for the review.

I haven't seen the episode, but this was still an interesting read. The title threw me for a moment because the only parallel between this story and the novel or film is the beating while "singing in the rain". I guess that's the "like" part. :-) I wonder what will happen when Rodney enters the picture.

I don't get the title.

Author's Response: Clockwork orange is a reference to the final scene, because in the movie of the same title, "Clockwork Orange", the main character beats another man while singing "Singing in the Rain".

Wow, that is a different take on Doppleganger...very interesting. Poor, John, well written. Susan should love the evil Sheppard you have created, because even though I love the happy endings I have spent enough time with Susan to appreciate an evil Sheppard when I see one. Good Job.
