This is great... the best part is that Magni is Thor's oldest son. (At least according to Norse mythology. Yea for 13 page research papers!) Could you imagine what Sheppard, O'Neill and SG-1 would say if they realized that?

Amazing idea and wonderfully told.

I was a bit surprized at the idea of Rodney the Asgard being 600 years old but the story does mention he has lost of lot of his memories, so who knows how old he might really be - or not if he's just messing with John. Either way its fun.

Author's Response: I'm a little late with this response: It wasn't intentional, I made Rodney a lot younger than he should have been. My mistake. (I like your suggestion of fixing it, though.) Thanks!

What a great story! The only thing that confused me was "Rodney" being only six centuries old. The few times we've heard about Asgard lifespans it has been measured in millennia. Since they cannot reproduce, it seemed weird for him to be so young. Regardless, it's an enjoyable read. I'd love to read the prequel where Magni volunteers to babysit.

Author's Response: Belatedly: You're right, my mistake. That should have been millennia. *grumbles* Too late to change it now, what's published is published. But thank you!

Very cool! I've imagined Rodney as a lot of things, but never an Asgard.
