Aw....!! I loved that!! For a moment, I thought that Rodney would've left John 2 there, but no! He left John 1!! 8]

Such a good story!!

Author's Response: Thank you! I find I have a problem restoring things to status quo once I've changed them... so yes, people who swap universes are likely to remain swapped *g*

Nice story, although I'll admit I was a little saddened by the ending. You left OUR John in THEIR universe!

Very nice touch when you put the answers to Rodney's ZPM-recharging dreams on a moon in the destroyed Doranda system, thus making not-our-John needed in Rodney's universe.

Would have loved to have seen a confrontation scene between our John (a seasoned military leader) with their Col. Sumner (although I can never hate a character played by Robert Patrick).

Nice job.

Author's Response: But *their* universe will be a better one for his presence! (hopefully....) At any rate, he will whip Rod into shape *cackles* Thanks for reading!

I've always struggled with the idea of John & Rodney in a LTR because their personalities don't strike me as being romantically compatible. I think they make better friends. I'm not sure I agree that they'd be more compatible by swapping universes, but it's an interesting idea. Thank you for writing it. :-)

Author's Response: I'm not sure if it wasn't jsut some sadistic twist to my brain, to put our John in Rod's universe *looks shifty* Thank you for reading!

Ok, your story is very well written. So well written in fact that I just HAD to keep reading it even though I REALLY REALLY wanted to stop and pretend I'd never started reading in the first place!
Seriously, how could you? How? John could never prefer Rod, Rod is just a slimy fake git in comparison, and how could Rodney fall in love with lesser Sheppard! And the worst is you've made it so convincing that I won't be able to forget and it's going to haunt me for a very long time! Bad you!

Author's Response: Hee! Funny think is, that's just what my beta-reader said (perhaps you are her, in disguise?). Apologies for the hauntingness, and thanks for the praise despite the pain....

I really loved your concept of the Mensa Verse, and especially Rod's John. It made me so happy that the story ended up all right in the end! Though I have to admit I was confused as to why the Johns needed new security numbers and promotions and such--didn't they just take over the other person's lives?

Author's Response: I would assume that the SGC, having all its experience with alternate-people, recognises that they are *not* the same (apparently, there was an evil!SG1...?). So while they don't mind the Johns sharing clothes, Mensa!John is not entitled to our!John's military rank and our!John would not inherit Mensa!John's academic degrees. Or so I assumed! But who knows? I learnt the art of people-duplication from Calvin & Hobbes *g* Thanks for reading!

I am so glad it worked out, for a while there I was anticipating total angst and saddness. I was a bit confused in parts w/ both John's having the same name (perhaps a nickname would have helped) but over all enjoyed the story very much.

Author's Response: I'm glad that you were not saddened by the ending! Thanks for reading and commenting!
