Oh, so true.

Author's Response: I know, right? :)

*snicker* *snort* *guffaw* I would love to see that. :) And of course John just has to have a picture.

Author's Response: I would *pay* to see Rodney McKay/David Hewlett in C3P0. Seriously. ;) Of course John has to have a picture! It's perfect blackmail material for later, when Rodney's being stubborn haha. Plus, good memories.

Very funny. If McKay is C3PO then Sheppard surely must be R2D2. Sure, Sheppard would say Han Solo, but that would make McKay Luke Skywalker :)

Sheppard having a "special, Atlantis likes him best and he can get it to do things that other can't" connection with the city has no basis in canon though. It's one of those things like being able to operate lights with his mind, or doing "light switch duty" in the labs that has never been shown on the show but so many fans believe that it has for some reason. If you actually watch carefully you will see that Sheppard uses sensor panels to turn lights on (just like Keller who doesn't have the gene) and when doors won't open it's Rodney and his toolbox that is called, not Sheppard and his gene. See "The Shrine" and "The Seed" for those specific examples. The *only* Ancient tech that Sheppard has been shown to have a better interface with than most with is the Chair, and he actually has to be sitting on it for it to work - not just using his brain. Looks like poor old John will be getting those cold showers after all!

Author's Response: I do like your analogies. I think Rodney would be a rather funny Luke, myself. rnrnI must admit I've read a lot of fanfiction more than watched canon, myself. However, I like the idea that Sheppard is only as good at manipulating Atlantis as everyone else, except for the Chair. I'm going to stick to that, then, muahaha. So yep, you're right, John *will* be getting those cold showers, unless he can somehow convince Rodney otherwise! *heeheehee*

Very cute. Unconstuming sequel???? I can see them both going as Kirk and Spock too. Or the Muppet mad scientist and his side kick with the crazy hair Beeker.

Author's Response: Thank you! No word from the muse on the uncostuming sequel, but I like the idea, so maybe I can do some muse negotiating. :) I can see them as Kirk and Spock, too, although Rodney would be a particularly *smug* Spock, which is not exactly very Vulcan, haha. I don't know about the Muppet mad scientist and Beeker, but I'm sure they'd fit the bill too, hee.
