Wow. I can't believe you don't have a review yet. This is good.
This was a very well written piece. It would have been easy to write a sob story, but, while the story was sad, you didn't allow it to get corny. There was a perfect balance between humor and angst.
I thought the ending was great - open ended, but still conclusive.
Overall, great work!
