This was just awesome. I loved Rodney and how, for probably the first time in his life, he was willing to let a mystery lie because what he got in return was too good. And Radek and Miko's fierce loyalty towards him. And how, even with whatever (clearly more convoluted) issues they'd had in this alternate expedition, John still managed to fall in love with Atlantis and pull people together around him.

I *love* this. I'm so glad there wasn't a bunch of angst over John lying to Rodney, because he had such an excellent reason and he really wanted Rodney to go with him to Pegasus. The idea of John staying on Earth *hurt*, because it was so obviously not a good thing for John. I admit to being curious about the Simpson thing, but at the same time I'm happy I don't know, since John/Other tends to make me get all "No! He is meant to be with Rodney!" and then I have a difficult time reading. I want to know what happened to the expedition in the first place though. I am so fascinated by this :D

I LOVE that Jack helped them out near the end. I giggled my way through the bits about Radek not liking John and wanting to kill him.

I just love this entire thing, honestly.

For some reason my review keeps getting cut off, but anyway:

Wow. Well, that was fantastic.

I really, really, really loved the part where Rodney, Radek and Miko totally weren't fooled, and John was just so upset at lying to Rodney; that just added to the emotions. And the entire thing was just....really, really amazing.

Also, Jack was 'not helping'!!! b29; And Daniel thought it was the right thing to do. That just... That just means a lot to me, especially the part where Jack knew that Ronon wasn't dumb and was like 'well, duh. I knew what he was doing.' And the
"But Sheppard's half-crazy with PTSD," cried Carter. "For heaven's sake, he said the city sang to him."

"Well that part," Jack glanced at the little ancient gadget on his desk top that nobody else could hear humming and thought of Atlantis sunk beneath the waves, "That part I've always believed."

Just, perfect. Because, yeah, Jack's gene should be nearly as strong as John's, if not as strong or stronger. And him and Daniel, yes, they know that home isn't necessarily Earth just because that's where you grew up/used to live.

And Rodney!!! *heart* My favorite character, my lovable Rodney!!! The way he wanted to tell John to go to the SGC, but couldn't because he *knew* that John wouldn't be able to handle it, but would do it anyway, and the way that he's doing everything he can to get John home, without even knowing what Atlantis is like, it's just. Perfect.

And oh!! Smart!Ronon!!!! My life is complete!! See! See! He's not stupid, it's just that Earth's science/technology is *different* and he doesn't understand it! I love that, I really really loved that part, and the little moment of bonding between him and Rodney there, that was just amazing.

And John, so eager to get home, but he's so totally taking Rodney with him because hell yeah, he ain't leaving no man behind, especially not his scientist! Or his scientist's cat. *squeeh* Does the cat even have a name...?

Really, really loved the story. I would totally kill for more, and this just begs for another story where they make it to Pegasus and raise Atlantis.
