I really enjoyed the story. I did have a few problems with typos, and some turns of phrase didn't feel right. It tended to knock me out of the story.

A lovely story showing how it could have been if John and Rodneys lives had taken a slightly different path.
Was the student lock story taken from an episode of MacGyver?
Author's Response: Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed the story. The basic concept was from MacGyver but not the actual event as I discriped. I tried to place everything in the notes, but wasn't sure if that was needed, as again it wasn't exactly but inspired by along with a similar event in 21 Jump Street. Good eye.
