Totally understandable as to why John would only want to remember to good parts of his memory. But it takes both the good and the part to make us who we are.

Thanks for sharing your talent and providing me with an amazing read. Well done!

Author's Response: Thank you! That's exactly what we we going for--the idea that everything about our past makes us who we are today! :-)

Wonderful story and this bit had me bouncing in my chair saying yes in agreement "Ronon looked at his hands for a long moment before lifting clear, leonine eyes to hold John's gaze. "Yeah, you guys have made a lot of mistakes. But you are the ones that took out my tracking device—and no one else could do that. You're the ones that found the city of the Ancestors and mixed things up enough so that the Wraith have real enemies for the first time in centuries. Oh, I know, people are pissed with you guys for waking the Wraith early. Truth is the second you guys stepped foot in Atlantis, nothing in Pegasus was ever going to be the same again." His expression grew dark, murderous. "Being in hibernation didn't keep the Wraith from attacking and destroying Sateda. The people who whine about the Wraith waking early? Well, they're the ones that wanted to live their lives pretending the Wraith weren't out there, and to leave the problem of how to fight them to the next generation. Nice gift to leave your kids."
Poor John always feeling guilty but one way or another the wraith are going to cull.

Author's Response: Yes! (You made me grin here!) The Wraith took out Sateda during a *lull* in their culling cycle. So no one was really ever safe. Thank you for your feedback here--I really appreciate it. :-)

Wonderful story.

I loved the ease and rightness between John and Rodney, even when they had no memory of each other. It was sad to see that crashing down once John was reminded of DADT. But I'm pleased to see that his time in the Chair, talking to Chaya, has made John see that it's worth the risk and he deserves to be happy.

Plus, the city is saved again and they've got a spaceship to look forward to :).

Author's Response: *grins* Cep and I had such a blast writing this--it was just like old times! We loved exploring their characters and deciding how much was innate and how much was learned in their personalities. We figured we'd been so mean they deserved a spaceship out of it! Thank you for taking the time to let us know you enjoyed this story. :-)
