This was great. I hadn't really thought of John that way, so caught up and repressed, and thinking that maybe Rodney was the lucky one.

Author's Response: Thank you. John fascinates me. He keeps so much underwraps. I'm pleased you liked it.

Some very good insights here, not only of John, but also the people thinking about him. I particularly liked Carson's last thought about whether being John Sheppard was as tiring as it looked. And then you added the twist of John thinking about Rodney, and it was again very insightful on both parts. I would have liked to know what Rodney thought of John...but then maybe that was the point of John's thoughts: Rodney is an open book, so we don't need it written down for us, we just need to look. Laura.

Author's Response: I think Carson's observation about being John Sheppard being tiring is the most commented upon part of the story, which is cool. /g/ About Rodney's thoughts on John, I honestly don't think Rodney thinks that deeply about people. I think he takes everyone pretty much at face value. He has other things to focus on. I suspect you'd have to hit him over the head with a clue-by-four for him to notice that John watches him. Thank you for your comments. I always appreciate hearing from you.
