Ah. God. I just finished reading your story, and I think I'm still in shock. It's the first Pegasus B fic I've ever read, because I'm usually not that fond of AUs. But it was just breathtaking. Every character was awesomely explored, especially the minor characters like Bates and Heightmeyer. I loved Daniel's very Biblical role as both the seduced and seducer of Ba'al, and eventually his murderer. Incredibly dark and twisted and wonderful story. I'd like to see a sequel where they make contact with Earth, and the reactions of any new people who come to Atlantis and have to work with the scarred original inhabitants...

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it! And I hadn't thought of Daniel as being Biblical, originally, but you're very much right about that. There have been some sequels written (by other people), but so far not one where they meet Earth...

Wow, this story really does have it all. Everything seemed so real and in-character, from Daniel's fascination with Ba'al to his relationship with Rodney, Bates' slow deterioration and Kate's wild past. Any thoughts on continuing this?

Author's Response: I'm so, so glad you liked it. If you want to read a continuation, there are several people writing continuations of the story in the Pegasus B LJ community. (Not me, right now - but trust me, the continuations are GOOD!)

I'm glad to see Peg Ba'al has made it here (I read it on the Peg B com), and in one big chunk too. I love this fic with all it's angst and adventure and peril. And the characterisations so recognisable as the people we know and love, but also shaped by these new experiences. Great stuff. Laura.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! You're Laura-sans-LJ, aren't you? It means a lot to get your feedback, and to know you liked it.
