I come from a long line of rock hounds, I've wandered up and down beaches on Lake Superior and found rough agates to polish in my unce's rock tumbler, so this story was just lovely. The image of Rodney as a geode, plain and ordinary on the outside, with amazing beauty and splendor inside is both insightful and gorgeous. (Maybe with ametheyst crystal - the most spledid geode I've ever seen had ametheyst crystal, as dark purple as concord grapes in it and was mind blowing.) Thank you!

Wow, love the comparison. Very insightful!
Wow, you made rocks pretty! *grins* I liked it, very deep. Plus the bit about John's dad making everything into a lesson he should be learning was funny. hehe Loving your work! *glomps*
