"Safer than...fries"...LOL...Loved it! And to show that John's sense of humor is a natural born thing, not a thing developed by years in military service is wonderful! Thank you for writing! MA

Author's Response: Yay, I'm glad you liked it. And, yeah, I would imagine John's humor is inborn, though, being a navy brat, I have to say that exposure to the military does give one an appreciation for the absurd if nothing else. ;) And thank you for reading. :D

"And, hell, it can't be any riskier than serving fries."

OMG!!! Bwahahaha!!! This is so good!! :D

Author's Response: Fries are tricky, I'm telling you. At least for John, anyway. ;) And thanks, I'm happy you liked it.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! OMG!!! you know I watched a nephew sign up and he too gave ridiculous answers and was given the welcome to the air force smile and handshake. This was priceless!

Author's Response: Why thank you, I'm happy the story worked for you, and it's cool that that scene is 'canon' for someone. I guess if they want you, they'll put up with anything. ;)

Hah! That was great :) I cringed during the fast-food debacle.

Author's Response: It was a debacle, too. Poor John. ;) And I'm pleased you liked it.

I *love* this. I can really imagine all those scenarios, and the way it just kept getting worse, and worse was brilliant. Loved it.

Author's Response: Once the first bit came to me, I just kept trying to think of something even worse, and, well, I'm glad it worked... though, poor John. ;) Uber thanks.

*ROTFLOL* The fast food job! *snerk* Damn funny. And, hey, that sounded an awful lot like Rodney he described to Randy in the beginning...heh. Any chance of a sequel?

Author's Response: Yay, I'm glad you liked it. Poor John, we abuse him so, even with fries. *snicker* As to the beginning and Rodney, well that's 'cause I'm an inveterate McShepper and I can't help myself. ;)

Definately a novel reason - er, set of reasons - for Sheppard joining the Air Force. So, will the sequel have Sheppard cooking in Atlantis? :) I very much liked this story. Bravo.

Author's Response: I don't think John will be going into any more kitchens. I'm thinking that one experience scarred him - literally - for life. And, yay, I'm glad you liked it. :D
