Lovely fic. You’re absolutely right, The Hive just did not deal with Rodney’s withdrawal as well as it should have and this was a great piece filling in more of the details. Plus bonus points for mention of Trinity :) I love Radek’s concern and Simpson’s and how they both try to cover it. “McKay seemed to inspire a dogged loyalty in those smart enough and savvy enough to look past the horse’s ass exterior he wore so determinedly.” That is a great line, and very true for Rodney, I think. The last scene with Radek and Carson had me giggling all the way to work, thanks for making me seem like a crazy person :D

That was very well done. It was really nice seeing the perspectives of Radek and Carson, and I think you captured their emotions and all of the actions perfectly.
