"Jack was amazed to realize how similar both creatures were: white-haired, short-nosed, sharp-toothed, claw-armored opportunists."

Huh... now that you mention it...

Author's Response: *laughs*

Wow. Didn't see the ending coming. It has a beautiful poetry to it though.

Author's Response: I envy the Cat a lot.

WARNING SHOULD BE: CHARACTER DEATH!!!!! Poor kitty. I was laughing my ass off at the whole thing and then.... boom.... I think I'm gonna go hug Mr. Hiss and cry.

Author's Response: Warnings go only for MGM owned characters, I think. No one owns the Cat. Besides, I know Jack saved the bloody thing. How would he live the rest of his life if he wouldn’t? Such things are not happening. Not on Jack’s watch.

Jesus! That was awful! Poor cat! It was a lovely story, and then Jack killed it! That was so terribly, terribly sad. Poor kitty!

Author's Response: Don’t blame Jack - we all sometimes get overexcited, or wish for something we cannot have. He did not mean to kill her, anyway. And ‘don’t feel pity’ for the Cat - she could back up her decision with her life. How many of us are capable for such willpower?
