Very good! I especially liked the parallel experiences of torture and then lying-in at the infirmary. Different kinds of the same thing, at least mentally for Sheppard. Bravo!

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, I went for the symmetry of before and after, and so cool that someone liked that aspect!

Oh, I enjoyed this. A good, solid whumping, a painful recovery, vivid realism. Brutal. And you hit some good emotions, especially McKay's fear. I especially liked the ending paragraph, where the somewhat hokey fractal talking became chaos, and you gave Rodney that little push. I agree with the first reviewer that seeing the aftermath of Rodney's break would be intriguing, but just imagining it is intriguging, too.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. Fractals can be amazing mathematical pictures, so I tried to build a story up around that concept.

Isn't this a series or something, or you have another fic going, a follow-up, because that can't be it, not with that last sentence. And if it is, what a powerful way to end it. But whaaaaa!!!! Have I mentioned lately that I LOVE your writing?

Author's Response: There is a sequel but I'm really kind of not happy with it...Geometry of Damage, I haven't looked over it lately though so I'm not sure what it was. Anyway, thank you, I'm so glad to hear it, because you know I love your stories! I've finally broken down and started keeping .doc for 'stories to read' and a lot of your fics are there, I'm just, bogged in writing. When I finish up these two recent ones I'm going to take some time off and just read and try to catch up!
