I'm sorry, but no one who has suffered abuse will talk about it openly or even admit to it. It is just unrealistic to read about it. Also agree with Fitz that *pissed* would have been correct reaction when waking up.
Like your writing style tho characters seem totally OOC.

I enjoyed the young Rodney aspects of this story immensely, but the sleep deprivation part? If I was Rodney the first thing I would do on waking up would be to pack my bags. Weir and Beckett have absolutley no right to force sedation on him against his will. Relieve him of duty until he gets the required rest, definately, but forced sedation under those circumstances is against his basic human rights, other galaxy or not. I doubt he would suddenly turn around and thank them for it either! As a health care profesional who deals with sleep disordered people every day, this really pushed my buttons. Apart from that, great stuff!
