Gah, but it can't end there! That's really sad. ;-; Great writting this, I love how they think of John as a clone and how you wrote him. Wish there was more though, just to sum things up. *hint* *hint*

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it! I haven't had any ideas for sequels, but I never say never.

Yes, but in SG-1 we learned that the Asgard can repair that particular genetic error - as per O'Neill's underage clone. So unless they *wanted* Sheppard 2 to die for some reason? Plus there is the detail that in SG-1 it was Frasier that recognised the cellular decay - without waiting for Thor. So unless Carson ( a geneticist) is somehow both uninformed and less knowlege then a General Practicioner? And lastly the mistreatment of Sheppard 2 is both 'out of procedure' by SG standards ( John O'Neil was relocated but not imprisioned or treated with any less respect than Jack O'Neill ) and below the ethical standards of the AMA, the USMC, and frannkly any rational person. Not to mention out of character for - at the least - Carson. Therefore, while your story is very well written I can not praise it. It simply does not reflect the universe it is intended as a fan fic of. None the less, your style is excellent.

Author's Response: I'm terribly sorry this conflicts with your view of the SG universe. I would say that the cloning technology was not Asgard, so events from the mini-Jack episode don't necessarily correspond. And Atlantis has several times treated prisoners outside the bounds of American legal practices. Thank you for reading.

Author's Response: Thank you. I think this was a one-off, though.
