Oh, I totally think it's what Rodney would do :) I feel bad for John though :( Wish there was a happier ending but I loved it just the way it is!

Rodney's a very practical sort. Knowing that a) he isn't leaving anything behind (I assume they told him he's estranged from his sister) b) he isn't endangering the expedition and c) he's happy -- I think this is exactly what he'd choose.

Sad and depressing but both Elizabeth with her ruthlessness and John with his determined compassion seem very much in character.

Dark, well written, and it really piques my curiosity. For some reason, the thought of McKay losing his memory seems far sadder than the same thing happening to any one else on the show. You must write more!

Very nice. I like how you don't answer so many of the questions, leaving it to the readers to fill in their own answers.
It's good. It's very good. And sad. And promising. And much more. He's not longer Rodney McKay. He's Dr. Sam Beckett (Quantum Leap). Learning everyday about a new ability he possesses. Atlantis loves him. Like the brother of her favorite son, John. She will take care of him. But what is with his position in Sheppards Team? Why do they keep quiet about his military time? How !did! he lose his memory? I hope you will continue soon.
