um, (okay i'm gonna look like n idiot if this is wrong), but the impression i got was that they kinda ascended...or something. wonder why they'd want to do that though, unless wraith n humans were more similar than humans would like to believe.

Author's Response: Oh, good, thank you... Because Admiral Q O (who edited this story)warned me that very few people might get it... I don't like the 'ass-cended' word (too 'churchy' for my taste) but basically it is correct. Why did they do it? That is an intent of any creature who started the quest for... energy (or 'force' if you prefer), and it doesn't matter if the creature is a human, or an Ancient, or a Wraith. And I would say that Wraith body is way better equipped for such quest... Because physical body has huge limitations, much greater than limitations of energy body... This story has C.C.'s epigraph for a reason. One day you might try it http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0671732463/sr=8-7/qid=1146609856/ref=pd_bbs_7/102-5219403-9416159?%5Fencoding=UTF8 (if you have time, or taste for that sort of literature. Have to warn you, though - I profoundly dislike English in his books - sometimes he's worse than Tolkien).

um...um...think i need to go read that again. but wow, when the wraith is all sad n confused, looking at the narrator like some sort of bemused puppy...n the parts were they're like “You made yourself wrong. Your body needs real food” n “Which part of ‘she is dead’ do you not understand?” powerful n thought-provoking, thanks.

Author's Response: Thank you. I guess the poor bugger was bemused. He wasn't exactly an Einstein. And if we would assume that Wraith can see energy directly, God only knows how that... hm... female looked like for him. Certainly not like a Wraith, nor like a human... And may I ask you a question - was it clear for you where the rest of Wraith went eventually in this story?
