I loved how enthusiastic they both were. John's "Fuck, yes"'s and Rodney's babbling. Oh, and I liked the reconciliation with Caldwell, too.

Author's Response: Thanks! John deserved to have a partner he wanted and cared for. I'm glad you liked the closure with Caldwell -- didn't want to make him actually bad.

good job on the story, but I have one little quibble. I were Rodney I would have come up and socked Caldwell on the jaw at the end and then shake his hand, complaining about how much it hurt. heh. What could Caldwell do? He deserved it, even if the gou'ald was in control. Might even had made Caldwell feel better. He could have said, "I know Shepperd can't hit a commanding officer, but I don't have that problem." I just can't see Rodney being able to divorce Caldwell from the goa'uld's actions that quickly. I can see Rodney blow up quickly, only waiting until afterward to panic about hitting someone that could kill him with his little finger.

Author's Response: Heh -- go Rodney. Actually, there was a chunk of time after the Caldwell encounter for the events of The Long Goodbye so Rodney had a chance to cool down. Thanks for your comments. :)

Oh I love D/s and this was hot ---- loved Rodney taking care of John and being so understanding about John's actual needs in a way. As for Caldwel? well I'm not sure, hee might blame the snake but then it was an easy out for him ;)

Author's Response: Thanks! I'm glad Rodney's understanding came through. And always blame the snake. ;)

Great fic. I loved all the different angles- Caldwell, or the Goa'uld at least, using John; John's mixed up emotions about it, how he hated it and the times before, yet also got hard; Rodney's outrage at John's condition and his offer to help John out. I'm glad John took him up on it as it was much better when both parties were enjoying themselves. I liked the closure with Caldwell too, how he apologised and assured John that there was no danger of a repeat, even if it hadn't really been him at all. Laura.

Author's Response: I'm happy John's confusion and Rodney's outrage worked for you. I feel bad for Caldwell but it's good John's a cool guy. Thanks so much for your comments. :)

Thank you. That was very, very enjoyable. I certainly approve actions of Colonel Caldwell in the first part of the story.

Author's Response: Thank you. Glad you liked it. :)
