I liked this. I liked Sam catching the underlying currents and deftly signalling John that it was okay. I loved all the things you caught about John and how Rodney also saw them and finally realised what that meant. Great fic. Laura.

Oh, fantastic. Seriously wonderful. Saying so much with so few words, and the slight inebriation Rodney experiences does its own to underline the slowly shifting mood.
