I liked that very much. (Possibly in part because there's a heatwave here, so I can relate. *G*) You set up the characters nicely. I agree with the other reviewers that more would be very nice! I spotted one typo though, which had me giggling hysterically: the widows were thrown wide open? And now I'm going to fetch my own cool drink. With ice. ;)

Author's Response: Oh, good catch! I think I have it fixed now, thank you.

Well, I have to say I like what I read, but it read like an intro to a bigger story. That or it's wishful thinking as I too wonder who are the other kids and what more awaits them during this summer? Thanks for sharing. I hope there will be more.

Author's Response: If I had plot, I would write more, but at the moment...I got nothing. So it's done, and if anyone wants to sequel it, it's open. Thanks!

I wonder who the people are that John wants Rodney to meet? If they are who I think they are, I'm gonna be a happy, happy camper.

Author's Response: Oh! Oh! Oh! Who do you think he's meeting? Let me know and I'll see if I can make it happen.

I like that. Typical Rodney, to be very protective of his sister, yet whine while doing it! :-)

Author's Response: Yes! Exactly what I was thinking. You know they had a whole argument back at the apartment about the 'lemonade' thing. Thanks!
