post-it note with KAVANAUGH MUST DIE scribbled on it not even an “I SURVIVED A WRAITH CULLING AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS STUPID T-SHIRT” shirt. This last disappoints him greatly. :D best lines had me giggling

Author's Response: Thank you kindly! And I think we need that tshirt *g*

Fortunately we know from the episode that they did keep in touch. Maybe this is part of the reason why. John realized how important Rodney was to him and then later on during those few weeks between their return and the attack on the city, they get together :D.

Author's Response: *Maybe this is part of the reason why.* Hee! I like to think so :) And that's exactly the way it plays out in my mind's virtual season... they end up together during those six weeks. *squees happily at the very thought*

This is quite melancholy, packing up Rodney's life and Rodney just realising that they'll be in different places once they get back to Earth. That last picture brightened it somewhat, inasmuch as Rodney would have that memory of them being happy, but there was also the saddness that they maybe wouldn't be able to have any more opportunities for photos like that to be taken. Laura.

Author's Response: Thank you! The first part of "Return" depressed me a lot... I felt so bad for all of them. Then I got to wondering what exactly it is that Rodney would keep in his desk, and then wondered if John would help him pack everything up and decided that something had to be done to satisfy my curiosity about both these things.
