This is wonderful. I'd say 'marry me' but I'm not much for commitment. So I'll just stare adoringly at your pen-name.

*lol* Atlantis, the obsessive girlfriend XD I wonder when she starts to block the gate when he wants to go out on a offworld mission, being pissed of at his 'boys nights'
XD Great story

ROFLMAO. That was great! The characterizations, the plot, the *city* being in love with John, and Rodney giving her advice.
I loved Rodney and Dr. Z laughing at John. I also like the thought that John was a little resentful of the city for "rolling over for the Ancients". I would have to agree with that feeling. Thanks for sharing

This is hilarious! I especially enjoyed how Rodney is trying to help--giving the city dating advice that somehow resulted in a tree growing outside John's quarters!
Please continue; I'd love to see the next stage. Will the city get hurt and then angry and vengeful? Are there robots? Inquiring minds want to know.
Author's Response: Hah, this makes me want to come up with something where they do find robots! One of my friends wrote a sequel here: http://apple-pi.livejournal.com/196604.html
