Ouch. I had the feeling from the beginning that saving Atlantis was hopeless, but I still hoped they'd pull off a last-minute miracle. This story was beautifully done, well-written and well-characterized. Thanks for writing and sharing! (Though I'm sure you won't mind if I hope it never comes true!!)

Author's Response: I'm a hopeless romantic, but somehow I couldn't make it feel right to manage to save Atlantis. I think there's still hope though - it'll rise again one day! *cue music* Thank you for such lovely comments!

Thank you so much! I love this kind of stories, but there're so few of them. So, thank you, it was a great pleasure to read. Hope Atlantis will heal - she can do quite well without humans.

Author's Response: Thanks - I'm so glad you enjoyed it. And in my mind, Atlantis does survive.

Marvelous story that really shines a bright light on Atlantis as a character.

Author's Response: Thank you, Michele! Atlantis is a fascinating place, and I enjoyed exploring the idea of her as more than just a building.

WOW! This story took my breath away. The mix of pain from loss and hope for the future that you strike at the end is beautiful--excellent work here.

Author's Response: Aww, thank you! I'm so glad you felt the balance worked - I felt there was hope too, that Atlantis would survive somehow.
