I am a writer with a flexible mind who is always looking for new ideas. Inspire me?
I've got a few projects going on at the moment, almost all of them dealing with my love of: the "What If?", the Secondary Character, and the Pegasus Double Standard.
Summary: When Rod invites John to spend Christmas at Jeannie's, they all get more than they bargained for. Set in the Mensa!verse from 'McKay and Mrs Miller' - spoilers for that episode
Summary: John Sheppard doesn't talk about his past. That doesn't mean he doesn't remember each and every moment. (Stargate Atlantis/Supernatural crossover)
Summary: John is a Slave who ends up the property of one Dr Rodney Mckay
Warnings: Non Con, abuse, rape, bondage and all sorts of possible other things. Some good, some not so good.
Acknowledgments: Thanks to Laura for the beta. Any mistakes left are mine.
On the whole, I'm really intrigued by the world you've built here. My one con-crit is regarding Rodney in this last part. I'm really surprised that he's taken John's 'affections' at face value; Rodney's a smart guy, I'd have thought his initial reaction to John demonstrating affection toward him (specifically of a romantic nature) would have been "Oh, God, you've got Stockholm Syndrome. Wonderful. That does /such/ nice things for my ego." Because after all, he's (as far as he knows) the first person to show John any simple kindness in 3 years, and he also /does/ hold complete legal control over John's life.
*Shrugs* I can see him getting past it, especially given time, but I can't see him disregarding it altogether. He's too well educated for that. Just my $0.02, though. Take with the prescribed metric tonne of salt.
Summary: After the Atlantis Mission ended, John, Elizabeth, Carson, Rodney, Teyla and Ronon disobeyed orders and returned to Atlantis to help the Ancients overpower the Replicators. Now that the fight is over, will the Ancients allow them to stay?
An interesting resolution to "Return Part 1". Would you mind if I toss up a link on Atlantis For Atlantis (a livejournal community about Atlantis Independence - http://a_for_atlantis.livejournal.com/profile )?
Author's Response: I would love to be linked -thank you! I'm glad you found the story interesting.
I adore your ending. The entire thing is thought-provoking and a very interesting read, but it's the last installment that's like a punch to the gut because that /is/ how she'd react if she hit the point where the dream appeared the reality for so long. Very nicely done.
Very nicely done, slight aberration of canon or not. Also, a perfect explanation for the "meditation scene" (although that phrase always makes me think of Echoes and Teyla smacking Ronon, but it's probably the best descriptive).
Author's Response: Yeah, I can't think "meditation" without thinking "Teyla and Ronon are so dating, omg" either, lol. Thanks.
