John Sheppard is a small town sheriff. Rodney McKay is a physicist who comes to town for peace and quiet while he finishes writing a book. It only took one look for John to know that this was the man he'd been looking for.

I've read this a number of times and I think I love it more each time. This is such a sweet love story - just the thing to read if I'm in a bad mood, or the weather is bad, or if a need a boost, or...just because, really. :) Thanks so much for sharing your work!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for such a lovely review. It\'s nice to know that I\'ve written a story that helps bring you out of the doldrums. :-)
There is an Earth where things have turned out a little differently, and the people who go to Atlantis aren't quite the ones we know.Lesser AU.

I've read this many times, and it never fails to charm me. :) Thanks so much! This is one of my all time favorite SGA fics!
John asked in all innocence.

Okay, apparently some spamming must take place here, at Wraithbait, because this is where your fic link at LJ took me.
This...this is just hot and hotter and then sweet...and, really...what WAS John thinking asking such a thing? Hee! Silly boy...Rodney knows all about everything. *nods firmly*
Author's Response: Hahaha! My first SGA fic ever! :D Yeah, sorry, my first stories aren\'t posted on LJ. But that\'s what the index is for. :)
As long as Atlantis sings, all is right with the world. So what if it stops?
Teensiest spoiler for Hide And Seek.

It was all Rodney's POV until the end...I thought John had died until I read the fateful line. :( I can't believe you killed one of the boys (Rodney!!) so early in your SGA fanfic-writing career. I think you enjoy hurting your readers - just a little now and then. Meanie. *pets you*
Author's Response: It\'s John\'s POV all the way through. I\'m kinda gleeful that people still fall for it. *g* And no, actually I enjoy hurting myself just a little, every now and then. I\'m strange like that.
Rodney is human like everybody else.

God help the world (in whatever galaxy) if Rodney ever really does feel the need for revenge. I have no doubt that he's capable of this and more :( *pets the boys*
Author's Response: Yeah. I\'m pretty sure there\'s not much he wouldn\'t do if pushed. *squishes him*
Getting kidnapped sucks. Getting kidnapped and locked up together with a suicidal idiot who insists on taking a bullet for you sucks even more. And what really, really
sucks is not even getting your chocolate.

I'm a total sucker for AU fic, and you have a deft hand with them. As far as I'm concerned, they're completely recognizable and perfect here. Plus...I love a happy and sweet ending. *beams* Thank-you. :)
Author's Response: Yeah. Me, too. Both loving AUs and being a sucker for happy endings. :D
The first time Rodney affectionately touched me in public, I was so astonished that he was five insults into the conversation before I was able to catch up.

This is just sweet. :) I loved it.
Author's Response: Thank you!
Summary: If anybody was to make sure that this man would stay safe and sound, it would have to be John, if only for the reason that everybody else would kill the overconfident son of a bitch within the first five minutes.

You should have listened to Rodney, you stubborn man! Arrrrrgh.
Author's Response: Don\'t we all love cliffhangers? *g*
I'm sorry," he said quietly, closing his hand around the scientist's lax fingers. "I should have known you'd find another way. I told Caldwell I trusted you, and then I let you down. It should have been me on that chair, not you."
He caressed the cold fingers tenderly, sitting in silence for a while before gathering his courage and looking up into his friend's slack face. It hurt, more than he had ever thought possible, and Rodney wasn't even dead yet. Not entirely.
"I won't give up on you like that. There's got to be something I can do, I don't know. Hell, I read that your Colonel Carter's mind was trapped inside a computer once. Maybe that's what happened to you."
John raised the limp hand he still held and pressed a kiss on his friend's fingers.
"I'll find a way," he promised. "You can rely on me. I'll bring you back."
Oh!! The angst! Thank goodness that Atlantis loves John. *g*
Author's Response: Yes! Otherwise this would be another of those need-a-box-of-tissues stories. :D
"So what?!" he yelled, startling the scientist into taking a step backwards. "You could have died, don't you get that? Have you thought about that? You could have died, and then what the fuck would I have done? You're the only reason I'm here!"
And, really...this sums up the whole story for me. I just love devoted!John fic. *nods sincerely* Everyone should love Rodney as much as I do, but it goes without saying for John. Yup. *eg* Thanks so much. :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I just have this huge spot in my heart for pining!John. :D
Rejected?! Hmph. I suppose I'm glad, in a way, or it wouldn't be available here and now. *sigh*
Author's Response: Heh. I guess it wouldn\'t.
Chapter 1: 1/4 - Prologue
Both an AU and a Crossover! This is the story of John and Rodney from my TS Imperfections universe: In St. Louis in the mid 80s, Rodney is a fragile sentinel changing guides almost as often as other people change socks.
Updated: 30 Sep 2006; Published: 14 Aug 2006
I can't begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying this story. This is a really, really interesting twist on the Sentinel/Guide relationship - John and Rodney are just a lovely bonus.
Thanks so much!!
My heart broke for Jack.
John and Rodney are so beautiful together.
Chapter 2: Cascade, WA 1990
Very interesting, very intense...I'm very glad that Rodney survived the event. Sam and Al were wonderful, and jack was a real trouper.
Rodney makes the mistake of asking John for a foot rub. Takes place early in 1.5 "Suspicion".

Author's Response: :D
John's always had a bit of a thing for white cotton briefs. He puts it down to too much jerking off to the underwear section of the Sears catalogue during his formative years.

"I'm going to start going commando from now on."
John's grin widens. "You say that every time."
Squeee! Too. Damned. Cute! *g*
Author's Response: Hee, thanks!
Chapter 1: A Bit of a Thing
Rodney has to work really hard to keep from blurting out a stupid question during sex. Written for oxoniensis
's porn battle
; prompt was "SGA, John/Rodney, married".
Updated: 14 Jan 2007; Published: 14 Jan 2007
Ohhhh...*pets Rodney and worries*. This left me...unsettled. *sigh*
Author's Response: Aww! I\'m sure they\'ll work it out. :) Thanks for reading!
Chapter 1: Don't Ask, Don't Tell
Two boys meet in high school and think they'll be together forever - here's what really happened.
Updated: 25 Feb 2007; Published: 16 Jan 2007
I've always liked this piece, but, of course, I had to re-read it in anticipation of sequels. Sequels! Yay! You know what I'll be doing today. Hee!
Thanks so much!
Chapter 1: The Boy Next Door
This was great. :) At first, I thought that Rodney was in a long-term relationship with Robert and living with him, so the *cheating* really got to me, but it wasn't so bad when I realized that they were just dating (no sex!) and hadn't really been together that long. Whew. Anyway, I really love that they got back together after all of those years. The *you're the love of my life* fics always work for me, and the kids are just another bonus. :) Together is just perfect and now, now they'll build their lives together. Awesome.
Thanks so much!
Chapter 2: The Long Way Home
After John is badly wounded while serving in Somalia, he and Rodney have to learn how to make a serious physical disability a part of their lives.
Updated: 15 Apr 2007; Published: 22 Feb 2007
Wow, four chapters, and we just got one the other day! I've already swallowed them whole. I'm a glutton for this story.
I started reading around chapter five or six, and I have to tell you how I've enjoyed this story. The straightforward way that you've handled the health issues and the beautiful relationship that you built between Rodney and John (despite those health issues) are wonderfully done. I've loved every minute of this story...thank-you so much for your hard work. :) Sorry for the lack of earlier fb. :(
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I loved exploring what trials and difficulties a relationship would be put through when one person undergoes such a traumatic change and the other has to struggle to pick up the shattered pieces. I'm thrilled you enjoyed it too and thanks for the kind words!
Chapter 10: In Sickness and In Health
