Holy shit! Why do you not have any reviews for this? First off, Rodney's reaction to the whole severred hand thing is absolutely pitch perfect, and the way you didn't make any one thing the focal point of the story is magnificient. You didn't get caught up in the realities of it - you acknowledged that the affect on the characters is really the matter at hand. (No pun intended.) John's implied child abuse was so deft, mentioned and swept away, and that sex scene at the end was so incredibly hot. Your descriptions were primal and raw, and not once did I feel any of the male characters feminized, which is something I always look out for. In short: hot damn, woman, that's some great stuff.

To be fair, I think I probably didn't have any reviews here because I had posted this first on sga_flashfic, and lots of people did comment there. But your feedback is particularly helpful. I normally write a much more tight style, covering everything that happens in the space of a few hours or days or whatever. I had trouble writing the skimming-over-several-months style, so I'm especially glad to hear it worked well for you. Thanks!
