Your fic is so original! I love your concept of Atlantis trying to help McKay grieve the way she sees fit. It is so much like the Ancients themselves - seemingly having good intentions but at times off the mark. Excellent fic!
Shep really was awful toward McKay after "Trinity", and I enjoyed this fic on how they put the pieces back together. I can see how Shep made that turnabout, how he was so mad at McKay for almost dying on him that he shouted at him for almost getting them all killed and then blurted out his real fear about McKay dying on him to Weir in the briefing. I really liked this fic!
Summary: Sensitivity: awareness of the needs and emotions of others. Right. A shocking event finally makes John Sheppard see the error of his ways. Post Trinity drama, angst. R for language.
I love this fic! I've added it to my favourites and agree it's a shame you haven't received more reviews for it. You really understand McKay! I was so angry with Shep after "Trinity" as he and McKay's friendship was strained. I'd also like to know what happened to Shep to change his behaviour but think it's awesome that McKay was the only one who knew him well enough to know he wasn't acted like himself. How awesome is it that he askes if Shep's okay soon after he wakes up?
I've found that Ronon can be really hard to write. You portrayed him quite well here. Ronon and McKay's dynamic is so complicated, and you were dead-on here. Great job!
