And John pouted, which was on his list of things he really regretted he could no longer see. Because John Sheppard, Lieutenant Colonel, with his lips pursed out and shoulders slightly slumped was the exact incarnation of the best five-year-old's pout he had ever witnessed.

Chapter 13: Back and Forth
A first time fic.

oh, this is hilarious! Poor Rodney! poor Skippy! *snerk*
John Sheppard is determined to bring to ruin the villainous McKay family. But young (ok, youngish) Rodney interferes with his plans.
Okay, so this is what comes of reading the Harlequin SGA website which triggers memories of reading a thousand Regency/Historical novels as an impressionable youngster (**eek**, no wonder I'm twisted). The result is this complete and utter cliche
I make no guarantees as to the accuracy of any of the historical/british terms and settings depicted in this story. They are from my fuzzy memory of romance novels. Nuff said.

thank you! I have a (now not so) secret love of Regency, and you really nailed the genre on it's head. awesome!
Tag to the episode "Grace Under Pressure." Zelenka and McKay deal with their guilt over the jumper crash.

wonderful story, with brilliant Zelenka and McKay characterizations.
Both an AU and a Crossover! This is the story of John and Rodney from my TS Imperfections universe: In St. Louis in the mid 80s, Rodney is a fragile sentinel changing guides almost as often as other people change socks.

To be honest I have never seen TS, only read any a few TS crossovers and I have no idea who Jack Kelso is, but I really liked this story. That said, I've absorbed enough TS that I understand the context of the story. Are these 3 chapters an extract from a larger work? I seem to recall seeing an announcement that 9 had been posted.
Poor Rodney, I can totally see him a a fragile Sentinel (your creation?) and I really like John in the ultra caring role, that's such a switch from the emotionally crippled Sheppard so often seen. Fascinating!
We do not fear this dying.

creepy, really interesting
Author's Response: Thanks!
After John is badly wounded while serving in Somalia, he and Rodney have to learn how to make a serious physical disability a part of their lives.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading Fading Skies. I appreciate the endurance that it takes write a long multichaptered story, and you carried it off well. Rodney was perhaps more caring and less selfish than we get him in canon, but I think the story necessitated it; the blow to John's self esteem was right on target. Initially, I was curious why you went the route of an original character in the role of Kelly, rather than say Katie Brown, but on reflection, it really added to the sense of isolation the J&R both experience through out the story. Double chocolate bonus points for having John in Somalia; I think that's my favorite non canon locale for Sheppard!
Author's Response: Thank you! It's awesome to hear that you enjoyed it and thank you so much for acknowledging the fact that it does take lots of time and effort to write multi-chaptered fics and make it all the way through without getting sick of them and abandoning them.
I never intended on using other SGA or SGC characters in the story (asides from Jeannie of course, but that's different) because I didn't want the story to shift focus onto these other characters and I wanted to keep it about John and Rodney. I had to bring in other characters in order to do that, but leaving them as original characters allowed you guys to keep focusing on our two boys. I'm glad you liked having John in Somalia. Originally, I was going to have him shot down in Serbia but that would have lengthened the timeline considerably and Pru already wrote about John getting injured in Serbia, so I choose Somalia.
Again, thank you for your kind words and I'm so thrilled you enjoyed my little ficlet. :)
To one Dr. Rodney McKay, John Sheppard is unforgettable.

Chapter 17: As Real as It Gets
John had a sudden sense of imminent doom, but that was perfectly normal for Atlantis, so he let it pass.

*wheeze* OMG, I giggled and laughed out loud over this story. Magic Penis (penises? penii?), DADT and desalinization tanks will never ever NOT be funny again. hilarious!
This could not possibly be happening. Not *again*.

this is a truly powerful story, and the opening scene is *perfect*. John's slide into resignation, and then the realization of what he has to do. thank you!
Author's Response: Thank you! I never know whether it is a good idea to warn people when I open a story with something like that because I can\'t think how to warn without giving something away...I\'m so glad it worked for you and that you took the time to let me know. :-)
Project Atlantis is a top secret think tank located in the Pacific Northwest. Acastus Kolya, the project's second in command, has been using its resources for his own agenda, and now he's eager to play with his newest specimen - John Sheppard.

thank you, that was a fantastic, intriguing story! you had me ROFL with some of the asides and pop-culture references, and the pixies nearly killed me. wonderful!
Author's Response: Thanks! I wrote this thing in 7 weeks, so to paraphrase Eira, \"I\'m tiiiirrred....\"
complete crack. really. Takes place in the time that had to exist, medically, between Trio and Midway. featuring: an extremely drunk Sheppard and an exhausted McKay.
