Just another 'Gate fan.
The places where we are redefined are not always what we expect.

No! Nonononononono... You have got to finish this, please don't leave it hanging like this. Your description of that chord was amazing, and now I have got to know what is going on with Rodney. Please? Pretty please, with whatever your favorite food is on top?
Author's Response: It's on hiatus for now, though there is another chapter that I wrote. It needs a lot of work though. I'm glad that you liked it. I swear, I will revisit this piece soon.
Chapter 1: The First Movement
Beckett/Dex. Animals have the capacity only to be grateful; humans alone have the capacity to love. Spoilers through Conversion, with some dialog verbatim from that episode. Written for the sga_santa gift exchange fest.

I think I have a new favorite pairing. This was such a wonderful, sweet story and I really enjoyed Carson's slow realization that Ronon felt more than gratitude toward him.
Also, Ronon has always reminded me of a lion too.
Ever wonder how Rodney McKay ended up with posting to Antarctica in the first place? Colonel Carter has a pretty good idea.

Oh, my gods, you've got them both so well in voice! I love the interplay between Sam and Rodney that you had going here, I was grinning the whole time. Thanks for sharing this!
Chapter 1: Antarctic Lemons
"So, we'll go no more a-roving / So late into the night." Or so John thinks. (AU for "Conversion")

Okay, not nice to make me cry. Holy Gods, this was good! 'Scuse me, I've got to go and find some tissues.
Oh, and I got here via friendshipper's rec on the Live Journal community stargateficrec.
"...and when John listened, he thought he could hear the forest singing for him." Yeah, that kills me, right there. Crap, where are those dratted tissues?
For the rest of his life, John would remember Rodney McKay in that damned Klingon outfit. (For Amezri, who wanted "John and Rodney visit a sci-fi convention".)

You had me grinning with the Atlantis contingent in Trek garb and made me laugh out loud at SG-1 dressing as the team from "Wormhole Extreme". I was practically howling by the end of the story. Brilliant! Especially Rodney's quick thinking to play it all off as a sketch. Also, I can't tell you how much I love the image of Rodney as an old style Klingon! *two thumbs way up*
Author's Response: Aw, shucks! Thanks so much. This fic was a lot of fun to write, so I\'m glad it was fun to read as well. I thank Amezri for giving me the prompt--that\'s her in the cameo role as a fangirl...
Just how big was

I usually catch spiders in my house and put them outside, but I don't think they'll be doing a catch and release on Ungoliant there! *still grinning and chuckling* Thanks for the laugh. :-)
John makes a rather uncommon experience in Antarctica. In a storage closet, where else?

August?! This last update was in August of '06?! Oh, you can't do this, please! You have got to finish this story so that John knows who his Stranger is. This story is so damn hot and so wonderfully sweet and asfelkjgs;dlkfl... *squeeks* Please?
Sometimes, it's not too late even when it is.

*looks down at the gaping hole in chest* Er...how about hand me back my heart after having ripped it out? Thank you.
Author's Response: *hands you your heart back* Uh, well, you know. Sorry about that.

It's sad that it would take ascending and losing his memory to make John Sheppard open up emotionally. I loved this story, thank you for sharing it!
Just rereading this and just I got to the part where Rodney acknowledged his longing for John, Constance Demby's "The Longing" came up on my play list. Absolutely lovely accompaniment to this story! Thanks again for this one, it's a favorite of mine.
"Steven Caldwell, if he were being honest, didn't really think he'd planned on sex with John Sheppard."
Then Rodney finds out.

Damn. This story is like a scab over a bad scrape, I have to keep poking at it and picking at it and making it bleed. Wow.
Pardon the weird analogy, but it's accurate for me here. Nicely done.
The boys of Atlantis have some very strange photographs in their rooms. Crossover with... see end of chapters if you don't want to be surprised

I loved all of these, but my favorites were the ones of Ford and Rodney. The ones of Ford made me tear up and very nearly cry, the ones of Rodney made me laugh and want to read more. Thank you for all of these, they are fabulous!
Chapter 8: Part 8 - Rodney McKay - Post Season 2
Rodney McKay takes one last chance at reaching out. Kidfic, pre Atlantis, pre-teen Rodney

This woman is someone I could see being thrown to the Wraith and it would be a very good thing. Nicely done, it made my gut all twisty.
Chapter 1: Requiem for a Child
"Asshole," John growls affectionately, kissing his neck. "You always have to spoil my fun."

Oh, so that's what one of those looks like. *looks at gaping, ragged hole in own chest and then down at the heart on the floor, still beating feebly*
Seriously you need to write the sequel to this. Pretty please, with Rodney on top?
Chapter 1: McKay's Symphony of Two In Ten
Havent you ever felt ugly? Unworthy? Unwanted? So does Rodney.

Oh my gods, you've slain me. Completely. I sat here with the tears running down my face and my chest absolutely aching for Rodney (we've all been there, at one time or another). Rodney's brash, arrogant behavior and tremendous ego go quite a long way to covering his insecurities and flaws, but those don't work in this situation. I swear, I sobbed when John finally figured things out and reassured Rodney.
And the ending of this made me gasp and flail, just a bit. So wonderful! Thank you! *off to copy, paste and save into hard drive*
The Centre wants advanced technology. Rodney McKay has it. Crossover with The Pretender.

*howls with laughter* GO, RODNEY!!!! Parker's reaction was priceless and so her. *grin*
I don't suppose there's any chance of somehow persuading you to write more in this 'verse, is there? My preferred method of persuasion is bribing with good chocolate.
Chapter 1: Hostage Situation
John can read minds. Written for the superpower challenge on sga flashfic. Spoilers for Trinity and Conversion.

Love the way you describe the progression of what John sees, and people's thought processes, especially Rodney's. And the way that you have Rodney becoming more of an alpha, stalking towards John and speaking very softly rather than ranting... GUH! Nicely done!
Author's Response: Why thank you so very much. I too, like a stalking Rodney...
Sometime your worst enemy is the only one you can count on.

I could have sworn that I've reviewed this before, but I guess not. This is about my third time reading this story, I love it to pieces and that last line always makes me laugh. Sam and Rodney are so great together as friends.
A very, very cracky Five Things fic with a self-explanatory title.

I would dearly love to see all five of those acts, as well as Major Lorne's. Pity TPTB didn't have what it takes to think of such things, but I'm damn glad you do, because I enjoyed seeing and hearing it all in my mind's eye. Thank you.
