It's a great story so far, but I just had to pause in reading and say this chapter especially got to me. :) While I'm die-hard McShep, I still really like to see Rodney/Ronon friendship, and there's some really nice H/C here!

I have to confess that I never comsidered that it might be said like "U-S-T" -- I've assumed it was pronounced "Oost", despite being an anagram. Now I'm wondering why I thought that, LOL! I wonder if I heard it at a fanfic panel or something ....

Summary: John Sheppard is determined to bring to ruin the villainous McKay family. But young (ok, youngish) Rodney interferes with his plans. Okay, so this is what comes of reading the Harlequin SGA website which triggers memories of reading a thousand Regency/Historical novels as an impressionable youngster (**eek**, no wonder I'm twisted). The result is this complete and utter cliche **heh**. I make no guarantees as to the accuracy of any of the historical/british terms and settings depicted in this story. They are from my fuzzy memory of romance novels. Nuff said.

*Happy sigh* So sweet! You're making me seriously reconsider my opinion of romance novels! Well, except that the ones I could buy wouldn't have John and Rodney, so I don't see how they could be nearly as good as this! :)

Author's Response: Thanks! There are some awesome romance novels out there. Really. Really. Of course there are some incredibly lame ones too so... :) This was tons of fun to write though (and my dad said reading romances was a pointless waste of time *hah*)

Noemally I don't like AUs, but as I love the show Dead Like Me, I was intrigued and checked this story out. I'm glad I did -- I love it! Love how you adapted Rodney, John, Jack, Daniel, and Ronon for this new setting! I'm glad you're delving into the others lives too, not just John & Rodney. Poor Ronon! (Yeah, I ship Ronon/Teyla too!) Can't wait for an update! :D

Aww, what a cute story idea! It's funny, I had toyed with the idea of entering that Stlantis video contest with my dog as Sheppard (and my rabbit as Rodney). This was much better than what I had in mind, though ;)

Ahhhgh! Oh, please don't make us wait too long for the end!! I admit I only skim the non-con stuff, but I understand the need for it -- this is a great story! Beautiful angst and great characterisation!

Author's Response: Its funny,(not um as in funny haha) I don\'t read non con myself it tends to make me very weepy, angry, exaspersted .... and like yourself if there is a story that takes my interest or that perhaps a friend has told me about which makes me curious I um \'read with my eyes shut\' so to speak. So I totally understand where you are coming from. And I am totally hopeless at writing sex scenes....which doesnt help. I just wondered how far Rodney would go, where his strengths lay, how his rational would deal in this situation. \r\nLast chapter with my lovely beta Leah I hope it isnt too much of an anticlimax.\r\n~Haggy~

Author's Response: I would kind of hope Carson would be a good enough doctor to realise what had been going on...although it wasn\'t written down Petron would have been as brutal the second time as he was the first. Carson wouldn\'t have missed that. Part of me wonders if there should be an epilogue of some kind *sighs* I feel I\'ve kinda upset a lot of readers and this stoy acording to the read count has had 9978 reads which is an awfie lot of people to upset.
