Wolfie is a staff writer for Sequential Tart, a webzine dedicated to giving female readers a voice in the comics industry, as well as on related pop culture. She's also a freelance writer and an artist.
Fanfiction-wise, she's written Kylie/Eduardo-centric Extreme Ghostbusters fics, Spike/Scoobies and Spuffy-centric Buffy fics, Harry Potter fics, and a boatload of Daniel/Vala-centric SG-1 stories.
The Ancients' genes didn't just confer the power to activate their technology. For ten percent of Earth's population, like John Sheppard, the ATA gene also gave them Gifts: special abilities that made them admired, envied, and feared.
Sheppard was a Charmer, one of the feared ones, whose particular Gift let him create faith whenever he needed to be trusted or believed. But Sheppard didn't trust himself not to destroy what he loved most. And somewhere along the line, amid the terror and chaos of the Expedition's first year in the Pegasus Galaxy, what Sheppard loved most had become Rodney McKay.
McKay didn't trust anyone. As soon as you started trusting people, you started counting on them, depending on them, and that was when you became vulnerable. And vulnerable things didn't survive. So just when, exactly, had he started trusting Sheppard?
And what was going to happen, now that he did?

Oooh, that was delicious! *G* The hurt/comfort fiend in me is very satisfied, thank you! ^^ Interesting concept, the Gift thing -- I like how you both intergrated it into the preexisting storyline, very smooth. (And yay for Peter not dying!!) Don't suppose there will be a sequel, with Ronon? Even a small one? Pretty please, with Splenda on top? ;)
Author's Response: A sequel--With Ronon--is indeed being planned, WMD, and thank you for wanting one! I\'m so pleased you enjoyed the story that much, and thank you for letting us know. :D And yes, we were *determined* to save Peter this time around, and it was a lot of fun to do it. Glad you liked that, too. :) Leah
Rodney has a bit of a problem.

Heeee! Oh, poor Rodney -- he's adorable when he's driven to distraction! *Evil grin* That was fun! ^^
Missing scene from "The Tao of Rodney." A conversation about life, the universe, and everything.

Very interesting tag. :) Loved the line about the food court at the end of the universe *G* Of *course* Rodney would have read Douglas Adams. I'm still waiting for a quip about 42 between him and Sheppard on the show ...
Rondey thought that maybe he'd cry and cry and never stop.

Clever twist! :) And way to tug on the ol' heartstrings! *Goes to look for a kleenix*
Author's Response: Thanks. Glad you liked it. Hope you found the kleenix
"Did you honestly expect to just slip in there?" Sometimes bad sex turns out pretty damn good.

ooh, that's a concept I've always loved, making a person come with barely any touch involved. Well done! *G*
Author's Response: Thank you! I always thought that Rodney would be the kind of dirty talk and since he\'s a genius and all he\'d definately know what to do with it!\r\n
They woke up brand new.

*G* I like that idea. Granted it would end the series, but what a way *to* end it! In your face, Ancients! ^^
Author's Response: *hee* Thank you!
Speak thou with us, and we will hear... (Sheppard/McKay, McKay/Carter past relationship)

Lovely angst *G* Nice mix of past and present, good use of vignettes. :)
He was pretty sure it would never have made a list of things he'd ever find floating above the planet.

*SOBS* Even I have to admit that was really beautiful (and clever twist), though I almost always hate tragedy and never read things marked "character death" ...
Author's Response: *Hugs* I\'m sorry if you were upset by it. I did worry about ot putting the warning on but it would have ruined the twist. Maybe that\'s not a good enough reason and I should put the warning on. Sorry again if you\'re upset.
He's always been like this, unable to deal properly with a situation cold, needing the flood of adrenaline through his system to be able to plan and act effectively. It's what makes him a good solider and an excellent pilot; the ability to focus when everything around him is going to hell.

*Happy sigh* Very sweet and sensual. My skin is still burning. ;)
Author's Response: Yay - thanks for the lovely comment!
The 'Two Johns' challenge - John is split into two men
Updated: 08 Sep 2007; Published: 07 Sep 2007
Sweet. :) The John/Rodney stuff had me melting, and the Rodney/Zelenka name-calling had me in stitches!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for all the kind words. And if I use Z in a fic, yeah, I have to throw in the name calling. After all the years of reading fics, I\'m not sure anymore if this was from canon or if I picked it up from various fics....Huntress
This is a short piece based on something Bluespirit said that stuck in my head and wouldn't go away. It's a glimpse at the sort of chaos that would ensue if John and Rodney were roomies at college.
And I have no idea how the donkey got there either...

*guh* I'm developing quite the weak spot for College!McShep. Loved the end! ... You don't want to know where I thought John was going to hang his hat, though! XD
Chapter 1: Mexican Beer Night
Rodney McKay hires an escort to attend a wedding with him and gets more than he expected. Loosely based on the movie of the same name.

I keep saying I don't like to read AUs, but with this pairing I'm finding myself doing it more and more often, and usually finding myself rewarded when I do -- like I've been this time. :) I like the twist!
Author's Response: John and Rodney are irresistible in any form! :-) Thank you very much for commenting.
John had never thought of Rodney as cruel before.
Updated: 18 Sep 2007; Published: 15 Sep 2007
"You've gotta be cruel to be kind, in the right measure ... Cruel to be kind, it's a very good sign ..." I never really understood those lyrics until now. ;)
Author's Response: Ha ha. Freaky though as I\'m just writing John thinking something along those very lines. Weird huh?
Rodney McKay, many would agree, was not a very nice man. It was not that he intended to be harmful or rude to anyone, or that he meant to send new students scurrying away in tears, Rodney was just blunt - and perhaps a bit dense socially. And he didn't tolerate failure.

*Squee!!!* You can probably guess by my name how overjoyed I am to find a werewolf (well, shapeshifter-wolf) story featuring McShep! ;) Thanks so much for this!! ^^ (Er, and I would certainly be a happy pup if you should happen to find yourself writing a sequel! ^_~)
Author's Response: *g* I was actually surprised not to find more like it when I started digging through the fics here - of course, since I\'ve barely made a dent in the archives, I may have just not come across them yet. :) (I have ideas for a sequel, but it would be another long one. So it will be a while in coming, if it comes at all. No promises.) ^^;

*Sniff* Poor John, I could just picture him wasting away in his grief! And poor Rodney, but bravo for him for surviving! :D

Chapter 2: The Physics of Ferris Wheels
Rodney kisses John as gently as he'd landed the city. John kisses back as gently as the landing Rodney wanted. Season 4 - 'Lifeline' Episode tag & spoilers
Updated: 15 Nov 2007; Published: 15 Nov 2007
Sorry, a little incoherent at the moment! *Loved* this bit:
""John." Rodney touched his hair lightly. "You don't have to. If you don't want."
John's hands curled around the backs of Rodney's thighs, keeping him from pulling away. "I want," he whispered. "I'm just so tired.""
So sweet!! *Happy sigh*
Chapter 1: As Gentle As A Kiss
