Just found this and really enjoyed reading it. But then it just stopped. I hope part II comes out soon :).
Most times, Carson's good is oft interr'd with his bones. Written for the challenge of Beckett, slash, and Julius Caesar

I said it the first time I read this, this is truly a beautiful piece. I enjoyed rereading it greatly.
Not all relationships start with a bang. Some take time and a lot of patience (and the occasional intervening friend)

Lovely chapter. I liked this story a lot. So many nice things here -- some very interesting backstory. Loved that John realised that just maybe Carson could be the one person on Atlantis that could sort of understand some of the things he's gone through. Nice that both his Carson confided in each other with a story from their past. And John's concern for Carson was touching -- I often wondered when the doctor got to rest, since once the Seige was over, his work just piled up even more.
But, again, I have to give you so much credit for excellent in character writing. You are not rushing the relationship and setting it up very nicely and realistically. This pairing is growing on me greatly b/c of this story. For me, it is exactly how it would happen; friendship first, than more. Especially since we don't get to see Carson and John interact enough on the show (for now, maybe it will change).
Chapter 2: Put Your Head on My Shoulder
This one is for Dark Cygnet, who asked for a Beckett/McKay fic. She gave a wonderful compliment so I had to try. . .wrote this in about a hour and 40 minutes as a result. Spoilers for Duet. Hope you like it, DC, and thanks! :)

Wow. Impressed that you wrote this in one hour and forty minutes. Nice job! This story, up until the very end, is a great friendship fic with that subtle hint that brings in nicely into the end and I liked a lot. I especially like the image of Carson in the kitchen; of Rodney wouldn't really know how to cook, but I don't think Carson's mum would let him leave home without being about to cook for himself :).
The ending and the kiss are so wonderfully crafted that I hope you give Beckett/McKay another glance and write another fic sometime down the road.
Carson faints. He doesn't pass out, he doesn't swoon, he faints. Because that's the proper medical term. He's okay with that.

I re-read this today during my lunch. After a morning spend balancing the office budget, some nice Carson hurt and John comfort was just perfect. Your stories are what make me really enjoy the John/Carson pairing.
Author's Response: Wow! A blast from the past. :) I can\'t remember the last time I got feedback on an SGA fic. :) Thanks so much. So glad you liked it enough to revisit it. :)
