Author's Response: Do you mean Sheppard\'s \"farewell\" statement? I think he does consider what he does to be \"fun\" despite the danger, etc (or maybe because of it!) and part of that enjoyment is his team. Whether or not he knew he was quoting Kirk\'s dying statement... I think McKay is more the Star Trek affcionado. ;-)

I don't know how I feel about this story...it was very...weird...unusual...strange. I'm confused.
Author's Response: I had to go back and read it...have received a few reviews on ff.net in the past few days and I\'m wondering what\'s dredging this fic back up. LOL! I was in a bit of an experimental phase style-wise at this point. I think part of the problem with this fic is that I combined two bunnies that weren\'t going anywhere, which worked at first before what people are labeling as \"the dark turn\" came about. Threw some off (threw ME off, truthfully), others liked it, and I didn\'t see it as anything as dark of a turn as the reader did, so there\'s probably a whole perception thing going on. I can say that the writing itself needed WORK and I should have held on to that one a bit longer before posting it, but I was sick of looking at it. I\'ve learned better since (barely). LOL! Thanks for giving it a shot, I appreciate it!\r\n\r\nKam : )

Author's Response: Thanks for the review and sorry for the late reply. I don\'t think there\'s any more of this story, but I certainly plan on writing more SGA and more McShep as soon as I\'ve finished the story I\'m writing in another fandom at the moment.\r\n\r\nLaura.

This story is great, I really like it, when is the next chapter up?
Author's Response: I\'m still writing the next chapter, and I am struggling to keep the muse on track. She keeps trying to skip ahead of the plot, and we end up leaving some very juicey storyline out. I have to go back and meld her ideas with mine. Very frustrating. I wish I had backup chapters to feed you, I really do.
