Rodney learns a lesson.
Updated: 11 Apr 2011; Published: 31 Jul 2005
This is a great story will you be cintinueing it soon? It would be great if they could get everything worked out. Too bad Ronon didn't hang in there a bit longer. Or at least it would have been nice if they would have at least kept an eye on Rodney for any changes or even enough to notice that he had actually *sorta* looked for them that time. Hope you continue soon
Author's Response: The next chapter is written and on its way to the beta so hopefully it will get posted here shortly. Thanks for the review.
Lovely chapter. I am glad you continued this to wrap things up. This is a great story. thx for posting
Author's Response: Its great to finally be finished! Thanks for your feedback.
In the aftermath of Arcturus, Rodney deals with John's loss of trust. Then John has to deal with the loss of Rodney. *not a deathfic!!!*

This was very good. Is there a sequel? If so where can I find it? I have thought about the "what if" McKay had left after "Trinity" Thx for posting
Author's Response: There is a sequel planned, partly complete, but I\'m not sure when I will have time to make it.
Most of the time the Pegasus galaxy feels familiar to Rodney, not in the way Atlantis does to Sheppard, more in a better the devil you know kind of a way. Gen Buffy Crossover

This was great. I wish you would have written more of this. Great twist to the crossover with Buffy. Never thought of Rodney working in the Watchers Council and bringing them down from the inside. Lovely story.
Rodney and Ronon hit the gym and each other. Written for aizjanika who requested Rodney/Ronon

This was very good. I really like the Ronan/Rodney stuff whether it be full out slash or just friendship. Would love to see more. thx for posting
It was Rodney's nature to be repellent. It was the Pegasus Galaxy's nature to take it to the next level. It took volcanoes, Wraith, genetic experiments and Genii to show Rodney that not everyone sees him the same way.

Wow this is very interesting. I hope they can get Rodney back. Or maybe he can somehow repair something that would get the Asgard to come and help? thx for posting this story. I just found this site a couple of days ago so am reading alot of good stories.
Author's Response: Thanks, Jammies :) (And I love your name!) I hope you have fun catching up on all the stories here!
Cool update. So Rodney figured out the machine I do hope he doesn't get turned into a wraith or an "all you can eat buffet" for the wraith. Maybe it will just regenerate him this one time. And figuring out that it was the Asgard boy I would give them an earful if I ever saw them again. The wraith are their responsibility to deal with and they just ran.... seems like they didn't totally learn their lesson because they let loose the replicators.
Poor John maybe he will get some sort of 'sign' that maybe Rodney isn't dead I don't want him to go back to earth.
thx for the update
Author's Response: Those Asgard have a lot of explaining to do, for sure. Thanks for reviewing! :)
Wonderful chapter. I wonder what Rodney has been turned into. If it is a Wraith or a "wraith killer" will he suck the life out of all kinds of beings or just the Wraith? Somehow I don't think he would want to stay the way he is even if he just killed wraith. And he is alot stronger now wonder if that will stay too. I do hope that Rodney destroying that machine didn't mess things up. In other words they won't be able to help him. I was glad to see that Rodney knows that the people in Atlantis won't turn their back on him no matter what he was turned into. thx for the great update I look forward to more.
Author's Response: These questions and so much more will be answered in the next episode(s)! Thanks again for your review!
Oh wow interesting. So Rodney is able to regenerate and is stronger. But he gets hungry for food that isn't the 'life sucking' sort of food so I am not sure if he is a wraith or not. I mean I don't think they get hungry for roast beef and veggies... LOL Still not sure what he is though. As for him using his GDO will Atlantis believe it is him since they think he is dead? Shouldn't he see about getting in contact somehow first or something. Or is the GDO somehow 'atuned' to his dna or something ... and only Rodney could use it? And if so will it work for Rodney now after he has changed? Of course maybe they can get in touch with the Asgard to help Rodney since it was their machine that changed him to begin with. You did great descibing Rodney's thoughts while he was getting out of that lab and climbing around the cliffs. thx for posting looking forward to more
Author's Response: Wow! You\'ve really thought about this! *g* As I understand it, the GDO has a \'green light\' feature to let the user know whether or not the shield has been dropped on the other side. As for what the machine did to Rodney, all will become clear soon. Thanks again for your review! :)
Great chapter!! Poor John so upset over Rodney being "dead" and now he is back and he can't let himself believe that it is really Rodney. And Rodney well it looks like he was 'de-aged' I thought maybe that is whay happened but wasn't sure so didn't say anything. Plus I think more happened then Rodney ending up younger. I do hope they will believe Rodney when he gets a chance to tell his story. Maybe they will go back to the planet so he can show them or something. Anyway thx for the update this is a great story.
Author's Response: And thank-you once again for the review! There\'s still a few twists up ahead!
Wow so now Rodney is awake. But still not totally sure of what happened. I am glad John was able to at least somewhat ease Rodney's fear about sucking the life out of that man that bled out. But what about what happened to the Wraith when it tried to feed off Rodney? Did Rodney tell them about that? This is a great story. I loved the part about John decided that it had to be Rodney since he was so 'snarky' to Lorne and still wanting to be placed under guard. It is good to see John smile as well. I hope he lets Rodney know his feelings before this is over. thx for the update
Author's Response: Hi Jammies! Thanks for the review! As for what happened to the Wraith, you\'ll find out in the next chapter when Carson confirms his theory. :)
Oh wow. I liked Ronan bringing him food and pointing out that Rodney was hungry for food and not 'life force' that helped some it seems.
And from what Carson found out it seems like Rodney is just as much a wraith as Teyla is. She can do that freaky mind stuff and sense the wraith. So Rodney heals faster and might be stronger that has its advantages. But I can see why he wouldn't want the "no aging" stuff. Plus if it got out that he didn't age people like the NID and the Trust would be after him. Heck they would be after him for the healing faster stuff too. I hope Rodney being so young is temporary or that he will maybe age a bit so he isn't quite so 'young'. Maybe that 'purple stuff' around his cells will wear off or something so it isn't so "strong"... like Rodney would heal faster from stuff but not at the rate of "Wolverine of the x-men"... LOL
As for John I hope he can help Rodney it seems like he needs a bit of help if he is hurting himself I know Rodney just wanted to see for himself but honestly he could have chosen a better way. Although I am not sure if I like John wanting to test Rodney like he is some new toy or experiment.... I don't think Rodney would like that either. He has been experimented on enough.
boy I sure did babble... LOL thx for the update
Author's Response: Whew! Where to begin? The age thing is something that will be explained further in later chapters, but you\'ll have to wait and see about the healing stuff. :) And I think John\'s more excited about Rodney as a friend than as a cool new toy...although, that has possibilities, too. ;) Thanks for the review!
Oh Rodney this sounds like it is more then just 'testing' the new abilities. I do hope someone stops Rodney before he gets a bite of the pie. thx for the update.
Author's Response: Thanks, Jammies! Don\'t worry, I won\'t hurt Rodney...much. ;)
Oh Rodney at least he stopped before it was too late and then went and talked to John about things. So Rodney knew something was wrong thats good. But now he is getting sick I hope Carson will be able to help him get better. thx for the update
Author's Response: Thanks, Jammies! Rodney\'s strong; he\'ll survive--promise. :)
Oh man so that is why Rodney is so young because he is a clone? And why he didn't got back to his right age once the enzyme was out of his system. Well is the real Rodney still alive on the planet? Or someplace else? Maybe in stasis somewhere? They really need to investigate that place where Rodney was. The only thing is that 'clone' Rodney has all of the original Rodney's memories and such so I guess Hermiod was incorrect in assuming that they removed the clone before it got the memories... unless they did it that way on purpose since the Wraith wanted Rodney's knowledge of Asgard tech in tact. It looks like Carson would have checked to see if he was a clone though. Anyway nice chapter thx for updating.
Author's Response: Dr. Fraiser never thought \'clone\' until O\'Neill\'s \'Mini Me\' started to malfunction, and poor Carson had Wraith DNA thown into the mix, so it\'s not really his fault he didn\'t see it. ;) Now it just remains to be seen what happened to the original McKay... Thanks again for reviewing!
Ah poor Rodney wanting his "real" body back and now it might not happen because he was thinking that it was best to destroy the machine. He probably could have just shut it off but then there was a chance that it could be used again. thx for the update.
Author's Response: It was the impetuousness of youth that made him kill the machine that might later save him. ;) Thanks for the review!
Ah man how could you do that? Please let Rodney somehow come back or something. Poor John loosing Rodney all over again is going to drive him over the edge for sure this time. thx for the update this is a great story
Author's Response: Thanks, Jammies! Don\'t worry, I promised I wouldn\'t kill off the only Rodney we have left, and I meant it. ;)
Well I had to catch up a bit on this story. But I love it. So Rodney is ok I hope he stays that way. I love that John is there with him and Rodney is figuring out that John may like him as more then a friend. This should be interesting. Is Rodney still in the younger body? I sorta lost track on that. thx for posting
Author's Response: Hi, Jammies! We\'re coming into the home stretch, and no, Rodney hasn\'t miraculously returned to his old self again (selfishly considering a sequel to deal with that issue...) I\'m almost finished the last chapter now and should have it up this weekend. Hope you enjoy!
When John shatters Rodney's heart, can Radek pick up the pieces? "Sanctuary" tag.

This is a cool story. And even though I like John sometimes it is cool to see where he gets knocked down in the love department. Sometimes it seems like doesn't treat Rodney as good as he treats his other friends but that could just be me. thx for posting
Author's Response: Oh, thanks! I love John, too. But really--Alien Het Sex!
