"Another cynical ex-hippie now working for the establishment." Also new to Stargate Atlantis fic. Took me a while to warm up to the show. Have written for Buffy, Angel and gen Magnificent Seven.
Inspired by Teaphile's wonderful 'On A Clear Day (You Can See Frustration)' written for the sga_flashfic Harlequin challenge on livejournal. Ronon gets his hands on a Harlequin novel and Rodney in his sights. It doesn't go well.

That was absolutely wonderful and sweet and hilarious. Miko and Ronan as friends makes total sense and I loved the way you intertwined the silly with the bittersweet - Miko teaching him Japanese because she's the last 'surviving' member of her country's contingent on Atlantis. Perhaps he's also teaching her Satedan for the same reasons? And your Teyla and Sheppard interaction was worth the price of admission just on it's own, I swear. I LOVED that you had Sheppard insulting Teyla and being 'on to' her 'ways'. His maniacal laughter after the bee incident was great. It was a much more real Teyla you gave us not the usual St. Teyla that we often get and it showed in her relationship with John. Rodney was Rodney and his reactions to Ronan's 'courting' methods was spot on. I loved the whole thing and I'm glad it worked out and ironically enough, it worked out because John finally stepped in and dealt with the situation - great stuff, thanks.
A Wraith is loose in Las Vegas, and when the Atlantis team stumbles across a couple of detectives already on the case, two guys who ride around in a '67 Impala and look nothing
like local PD, they quickly come to the conclusion that life would go a lot more smoothly if they all just worked together. But things are crumbling around them fast, the ground slipping away beneath their feet, and it forces both John Sheppard and Dean Winchester to the same eventual realization: it's time to stop lying to themselves, once and for all.

Great crossover. John and Dean, peas in a pod but I liked the way you also brought in Sam and Ronan and Teyla and Cas. I'm not usually a McShep fan but this was a nice one. Also Cas and Dean worked out well. I liked the quiet relationship in the back between Sam and Teyla as well. It was very interesting having the SG universe introduced to angels and having SPN introduced to the Wraith from another dimension. I liked the Wraith plan. I also really liked finding out about Todd's real name. Cute. I would love to see the look on his face if they were to actually call him that next time they met him.
Author's Response: Wow, I had totally forgotten this story was still posted over here. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you but I wanted to thank you for reading and say that I\'m so glad you liked it. :D
A day in the life of John Sheppard and Rodney McKay, babysitters.

Excellent story. I loved John and Rodney and everyone in this. I liked the flashes of John as military commander and as a guy in over his head. His thoughts about women; Zelenka's meltdown, the info about the soft sciences all being lushes; Woolsey; the transporter malfunction; the Marines making notations based on the betting pool; Ronan and the maple syrup and poor Lorne. I loved 'hearing' the thoughts of Rodney and John and seeing through their eyes. This story really reminded me of a Hope and Crosby movie, although I'm not sure if Zelenka or Ronan was Dorothy Lamour. LOL Thanks.
"So, you want to venture out into the zombie filled hallways to go rescue other people?" John asks. "I had no idea you were so selfless."

I loved it. Of course John gets to name things and he does an awesome job of it. I was sorry to lose Lorne so quickly but Carson and Ronan were great and Teyla? Well Teyla was wonderful and I loved the scene where they found her. Great ending too.
Jack had a strange feeling that he knew his cocky pilot from somewhere...

You know, you just don't see this pairing very often but this was really well done. I liked your young John. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this pairing because these two could get into a lot of trouble without adequate supervision. LOL
Author's Response: lol I think those two could get into a lot of trouble *with* adequate supervision ;) It was an interesting pairing to write. I\'m glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback!
Chapter 1: Just Be Careful (full)
Rodney McKay is a U.C. Berkeley physics professor who absolutely cannot stand the new faculty hire, John Sheppard.

What an excellent and fun story. I really enjoyed it. I liked all of them as profs at Berkeley and Rodney and Sheppard were great. I especially liked Carson and his collies and Elizabeth and Radek as a couple. The whole thing was fun as was all the place name dropping - I know where that is! LOL Thanks.
Author's Response: Yes, Berkeley is unique as a college town because it is such an old university that the town grew up with the University. I was born there. And I love getting clam chowder (white, of course!) at Spengers. Thank you!

Really fascinating take on Vegas. I liked the twist and the O'Neill's. John and Todd made it home but I'd love to see what this universe's Todd does with the serum. He's Michael without the insanity.
