Summary: Love is something invented for the masses to glorify reproduction and survival of the species. Pack mentality and protection of the young. Rodney knows this. Knows there is no such thing as love at first sight - that there are only pheromones and phenotypes and complimentary personalities - and when Kolya is gone again, that is all this will be.
