I find it hard to stick to one fandom - so my new found Atlantis obsession came as something of a surprise. I have been writing slash for five years - but only the very earliest (Hercules of all things) was particularly explicit.
I took a break of almost two years before Atlantis got me started again.
There was a time I would slash anything and anyone if there was even a smidgeon of textual evidence. I am sticking to McKay/Sheppard for now, though. Mostly.
This was incredibly effective. The backstory was well written and convincing. I really felt for Rodney. It explained the seemingly inexplicable.
Stylistically it was spot on.
Please keep writing.
Hear, hear. McKay may be a little hysterical on occasion - but he's rarely wrong! I got confused when I read your title - it's the same as the last part of my WIP. But it's definitely different.
Well done (to medium rare!) hee.
Author's Response: LOL! Great minds think alike with titles :-) I'll have to see if I can find it. Glad you enjoyed this ficlet. The whole sun and radiation aspect niggled me throughout the episode and I simply could not resist writing this story :-)
Have you started part 2 yet? Please say yes! I really enjoyed this - although it was heartbreaking. Need to know what happens next, of course.
Author's Response: Ummm, No. Writing muse has curled up and died and I can't seem to get this started, although I know where I want to end up.
Sorry :(
You made me cry. Really.
These three were beautiful. Waiting in anticipation for the next one.
It's fantastic what you have done with characters that I barely even noticed on the show until you focused on them.
Author's Response: Awww, thanks, honey! I've never known you to get emo over fic, so I'm really flattered!
