You came up with a believable reason for Sheppard to be evil and you ran with it. It's sad about McKay, but honestly, this isn't the kind of train-wreck scenario that leads to happy fluffy endings. I particularly like the unrepentant gleefulness alien!sheppard.

Something about the idea of Zelenka leaping on Sheppard like a cheetah on a gazelle made me laugh insanely. I know it was a throw away line, but ... the imagery. And then Rodney knowing he should be saving the city but not being able to give a shit...
All in all, very very hot.

Nice AU, interesting backstory. There's just a smattering of Stockholm syndrome going on, which I absolutely loved (and honestly thought was rather realistic).
