Made me flash back to Rising - I can the scenes roll by while John's thoughts flash by. Enjoyable - I'm glad there are more.

Great set up. When he reached out and couldn't feel anyone, I actually sucked in a surpirsed / scared breath. The end was that much more gratifying.

Bam,bam,bam. Rodney's life goes by so quickly. I really liked the way you merged Rodney's life and personality with the Guide myth, without sacrificing the snark.

Author's Response: I really cannot see all Guides being sweetness and light. Given Rodney\'s personality in canon, he is neither. But he does *care* about people beyond all reason.

Exploring the city and finding fun stuff - you make it exciting. Can't wait to find out more about your Atlantis - how it will learn and interact - assuming it wants too.

Summary: Sentinels and Guides form a juvenile pair bond in childhood in order for Sentinels to survive. Neither John or Rodney formed that bond until they were older, which shocked both their parents, the academic community, and their governments.

Your take on Sentinel/Guide history and biology is fascinating. John and Rodney's personal and polical issues are very entertaining in their own right, but mesh wonderfully well with the background provided. More please.

You know how sometimes when the story is themed its all about the theme? Or sometimes its really obvious what the theme is supposed to be because the rest of the story hs been forcibly attached or draped around it?

Your story doesn't do that. Everything flows so smooth. If I hadn't been looking for fleece I would have just thought it was a great story with an interesting twist. And it is, but it also works well as a fleece focus.

Summary: Sheppard/OMC Connor Davids is a shy, quiet scientist who keeps to himself but over time finds he's lonely. John Sheppard is the man everyone wants and everyone wants to be except all he wants is quiet understanding. Can he get that from the new Dr. Davids? Can they both overcome gender to be with each other?

Atlantis Survival 101: How-not-to-die-or-incur-the-wrath-of-Dr.McKay. Gotta love a good orientation.

I'll be honest with you, I clicked on the wrong story. I tend not to read stories that make major use of original characters unless I know the author's work or its been reccomended by someone.

That said I read enough of the first chapter to realize it wasn't the story I though but then it pulled me in and I kept reading.

Davids is almost too perfect. But you added enough stuff so far about isolation issues and shyness to balance that out. And the writing is good.

Summary: Atlantis is drawn into the war between the Courts, and a certain young Elemental is determined to turn the city (and its chief scientist) on its head.

Exactly how young is Omen? I get the impression the Drow are longer lived than humans and if thats true they would most likely have a slower maturation process. Maybe Rodney is more mature acting (at least some of the time ;] ) because he was raised human?

Oh goody! Now we have beautiful bloodsucking vampires to go with the strangely enticing pond scum colored ones. Somedays Pegasus just gets on the last nerve.
